| Anyone found a regular one?
Salford match we met at Miners
Oldham match we met at The Brit.
W*gan match we met at The Red Brick
Today we will be meeting at The Hilton Arms shortly
It's not just the same as The Boars Head, Spoons and then onto HP - I don't like change

| could not agree with you more mate, personally if wego to the pub mprior to game,(not going today) we would still go to the wetherspoons, as best place for any sort of decent real ale, only takes 15/20 mins to walk to ground, obviously not much fun ifits raining, but there you go.

| I still start in Boars Head. Only problem is there are more pubs on the way to the LSV so I'm half cut by the time I get there! Looking at the time I best be off!

| Met in the Ellesmere today for the Rangers-Celtic game and before the Oldham game and can see it becoming our regular slot - lobby for a quid, can't knock it (even if it has got carrots in it!)
Met in 'Spoons for the Wigan game, but that was a one off as it was the only pub open in Leigh at that in a morning

| why dont people use leigh east as a starting place cos they have sky sports and beer and you would be helping the local amature club at the same time
dont forget they are the ones that are supplying leigh with youngsters as well as the miners and other surrounding amature clubs
we all know we want more leythers in the team so help an amature club provide the next class player

Must admit I haven't frequented the above yet What beers do they serve and is it reasonably priced. Must admit that I am becoming a bit of a cask ale fan and can see myself steering well clear if they serve the usual sh*te that we find at the LSV.

| Well I went into the Thomas Burke with my 21 year old nephew...... ordered a pint of stella for myself and an over inflated 5ml coke 275 ml Ice for the nephew. For the return round my nephew was asked for ID at the bar and refused , due to lack of ID. So off I went to the bar to order my stella, nephew didn`t want another Ice on the rocks, when the wendy behind the bar states if I`m ordering a drink for a minor she`ll take it off him...... regardless of the amount of times I informed the goon that the stella was indeed for myself, she reiterated her policy...........Total jobsworth goon.... leave my stella alone muppet.
Waterside next home game............and just out of interest the nephew looked considerably older than the ones serving the drinks.............

they serve most beers that you would normally see in other pubs apart from the cask ales which are specials and it all depends what price you see reasonable. the wetherspoons is one of the cheapest pubs in leighdoes that mean that all the other pubs in leigh arnt reasonable and not worth drinking in.

| a question, maybe mr chairman could answer, as leigh east seems to be used on a daily basis for training and meetings and i guess various other community events, why can't they do some cask ales, yes it takes more time and you need to know what your doing, but imo worth it, would certainly go in prior to games if served decent cask ales.
