| He spent more time on the pitch today than Asotasi.
Seemed to be rolling back the years in the first half today standing behind the Widnes attacking line and guiding them round.

| I think the OP is eluding to the fact that Hodgson spent more time on the pitch as a water carrier for Wierdnes, than Asotasi did for us as a member of our 17.

| Once again not many minuets from Roy although when he did come off he did seem to be limping slightly, Bret did have a spring in his step and appears quite happy with his new role.

| I wonder if we'll ever find out what happened when he finished with us. The relationship seemed to go very cold towards the end.

| Didn't react well to being left out of the GF team.
TS chose Ratch in what would have been Bretts last match (I think).
Ratch got injured in the match by the goons and Brett felt he wouldn't have been in that position if he'd have played.
TS may have said something then Bretts wife went on twitter or some other t'interweb site and was less than complimentary about TS.
Really quite sad as I think both he would have been great on the staff. One of the most intelligent players I've ever seen - along with Monas.

| Whatever went on, TS was completely responsible for us loosing the GF imo.
I do agree that if Brett had have been in the squad we would have won our 1st GF.
A bench full of forwards and no Brett, Wane knew just what to do.

I think Bert's wife was saying that losing is what Wire get for leaving him out of the squad. I think things got a bit ugly on Twitter following that (as can be expected; posting that to thousands of gutted Wire fans) which probably didn't help Bert's relationship with the club.

| That isn't what happened- but I don't think it is right to speculate on here.

| Apols Ganson - that was my honest understanding but if I'm wrong I hold my hands up.
Either way it's a shame.

| What is likely is that Brett would have an automatic choice at FB a week earlier.
Something says fishy to me.

I guarantee it would have been nowhere near the current world record for the most minutes a water carrier has spent on the pitch........a record currently held by Mike Forshaw and one that will never ever be beaten.
