I don’t think you’re wrong. Hughes jogging along next to an attacking player is the definition of this. Ratchford fighting to avoid a dropout minutes from the end is the opposite and the temperament we should be looking for from 1-17.

Positional play- yes, yardage return yes, yes and yes, support play - yes yes and thrice yes, pivot - he's actually quite handy at that, being a running threat- oh yes, ambling about and being out of shot when tries are scored- not as good as stefan.

Not to mention his try saver that wasn't rewarded because of stupid refs call. We all know that was held up, we also know that Philbin got the ball to touch a blade of grass Which is all it needs to do. Big moments but not the reason we lost.

For me once again its the character and shear inability to cope with the game not going to script. Its a huge coaching failure IMO. Austin is really poor and I hope we do land Trueman and Holmes.

Ratchford is our jake Connor. He has a reputation as a great player based on a few moments of excellence whilst ignoring all his shortcomings.

He's a good one in a few positions, he excels in NONE. Here's the rub, his supposed best position is FB yet he is not in with a shout to be in the top 4 consideration for the WC. He has also only made it onto the shortlist for the top 5 mom in the guardian ONCE this season....but you're an idiot if you think he's overrated.
