Interesting that Catalan are bottom of the poll.

For me, I would dread playing them if they dispatch Wigan. I think they are the real dark horse

If wire aren't destined to win the gf (with the rugby gods- phile clarke) then I would love catalans to come from out of the top 4 to win. And I think they can do it!

Having thought about this alot, i think alot of people on here are looking at who we pick in the wrong way. We should pick the team who will be the hardest on Saints and their style of play, and the team which will knock seven shades of e out of them. Then we pick whoever is left regardless of who they are.

This is the first time I can ever remember not fearing any team in the league, so I don't mind who we pick just as long as the remaining team really takes the steam out of Saints and gives them the toughest game possible.

tempted for wigan just to kick them into touch but i think catalan will beat them anyway and i would avoid catalan at all costs! so i have gone for leeds

If:

Wigan win, Leeds win - pick Leeds

Wigan win, Hudds win - pick Hudds

Cats win, Hudds win - pick Hudds

Cats win, Leeds win - this scenario would be the toughest call. I'd be inclined to lean marginally toward choosing the Dragons.

Choosing Wigan should really not be considered.

And that would be the reason why they are bottom of the poll with the fewest number of votes.

Skybet have Cats at 3/1 to beat Wigan. That is a ridiculously good price in my view.

Wigan will beat Catalans with room to spare. They lost against Leeds last year and still advanced. It's Saints that I fear.

Slightly disappointed at the tone of the press release the club have put on the website re: clubcall. I was hoping they would come out and say "this is a pretty silly concept, we'll announce it on sky like we're obliged to, but we're going to go with the lowest placed winner from the preliminary semi-finals".

Ferriol banned

I managed to get a couple of quid on at 8/1 yesterday.
I'd have taken that bet even if I had remembered Ferriol was banned.

I don't get why everyone is so worried about Catalans. They recently lost two home games in the weekly rounds when they had an outside chance of fourth, so they're hardly on an unstoppable charge. Yes, they were impressive last weekend but that was one game, not a run. I expect Wigan to beat them, but IF Wigan really are spent and lose then Catalans are the only option for me in Club Call. If Wigan do win then we pick the winner from Huddersfield V Leeds.

If the semi finals are anything other than Wire V Leeds and Saints V Wigan I'll be surprised.

If Wire pick Wigan in the club call (assuming they beat Catalans) instead of throwing them at us. I will show my bum in woolies window. I will infact have to break into the closed woolies on church street and set up some flattering lighting but lets be honest its not going to happen.

On the evidence of tonights match, Leeds might be dangerous as Phil whatsisface says but their defence is suspect & we can definately beat them if they play like that!
