I don't think anyone wants him 'hung, drawn and quartered' (well I don't at least).
I do think it's reasonable to question how well all our new signings are doing - including Tom.

He's the player who's impressed me with his try scoring - which is a big part of why we signed him - but he's got areas for improvement. The Saints match showed those.
Defensively - not so strong particularly given his size. Pushed off a couple of times and Hughes covered.
Concentration - my view is that he should have taken the kick off that went between him and Hughes.
Concentration - touching the ball as it went out from a Saints kick - he was only saved by his foot being in touch (and I doubt he planned that).

There are other things also but fixing the above is the priority. (All players have things to work on and they concentrate on their own 'priorities', so he's no different in that area.
The coaches will be working with him and I expect us to see improvements to his game through the year.
If he's got a rugby brain he'll learn and fix those issues.
Not all players learn though (Richie Barnett never improved his catching of the high ball for instance during his tine at Hull and here), but Agar in particular must be confident he can.

maybe when he scores 16 tries in the Grand Final and we take Bevan's statue down and replace him with Lineham

Didn't we also lose at Hull through missing the goal kicks.

It seems to me that,over the years, our best performances & trophy wins have happened when our goal kickers have been consistent. Hesford, J Bevan, Hodgson & for the oldies Fraser & Gilfedder among other great kickers.

I recall similar stuff about a certain henry faafili. He is primarily there to score and has been doing that. He has made a few errors and will learn from.them. Some ppl need to realise wingers are used differently nowadays!!

I think TS is making an example of Lineham, drop below the standard of play and professionalism of what is expected of you and it doesn't matter what your name is or how much you came for you will end up playing second grade rugby

I think it sends out a message to all the players as to what is expected from them this year and TS looks as though he is prepared to play hard ball to get what he demands

If the whole out drinking story is true them this can only be a good thing.

I like him he scores tries, all players can make mistakes and have room for improvement. I think he has been unfairly singled out against most with a price tag are.

He is a great prospect. Could do with working on his agility which I'm.sure he is but the signs of that won't jyst appear over night. Just wondering how many try he has scored??

If the drinking with Bailey story is true I'm glad he's making this stand with Lineham. One of the first things Smith did when he took over was Oust Martin Gleeson another who liked the sauce..

I understand that Lineham will not be playing against Widnes either. Still on the naughty step or is he still running round Victoria Park?
