Great game tonight between two evenly matched teams.

Wire were great in the first half and really had the game won until they lost direction when Briers went off.

Credit to Wigan for a couple of great pieces of play to get back into it.

Tomkins was quiet but made the key play of the game in my opinion.

Wire should, again in my opinion, have taken the two points when receiving a penalty late on.

Referee missed a couple of high shots but was generally good and the VR decisions were all correct.

You'll need to wait now as its probably past his bedtime.

My view of the King/Gleeson video ref incident was that King illegally tackled Gleeson off the ball. Should have been penalty try imo.....

I agree and over salford aswell.It was a great game tonight,and i would love a widnes v wire game and a atmosphere like that.No disrespect to swinton, but that is the game i have to look forward to this weekend.


To be honest i feel it all went wrong when briers went off.Control went but credit to wigan.Both teams will be in the top 6 for sure.

we werent robbed at all ,, the game was even , credit to both teams , we tried everythin to win it in the last 5 mins but credit to wigans defence , a classic game one of the best ive seen ,, wigan had some decisions turned down and so did we , but the ref is a joke and always will be , i have no doubt the too will be up there at the end of the season

And yet they were still quicker than Westwood at getting off the tackle

After watching the game on sky. I belive that Gleeson obstructed King and that was a definate NO TRY. The Goulding one was controversal but the Solomona effort was very unlucky and wasn't a try, thats my view on events.

He did not cross behind him, he ran a supporting line, he did not check his run. King simply threw himself at Gleeson in desperation, if anything King could have been done for a tackle without the ball.

King would have stopped that try if Gleeson didn't practically run over him, end of. I'll admit Monaghan's try was rightfully disallowed but Solomona's was JUST on the line and I'll never change my mind. We were robbed.

Gleeson ran a supporting line he does not have to run out of the way of the defender. He is entitled to hold his line to support the ball carrier.

The simple fact is Wire threw that game away, and Wigan won it with a few bits of individual brilliance. The stats say Wire should have won that game, the scoreboard says different and that is what counts.

Deal with it and move on, stop clutching at straws accept it and move on, you are making a bit of a fool of yourself.
