Yes but Cunningham is one of a handful of players who could lay claim to the title "greatest player of the Super League era" so Bibey being crap has nothing to do with it.

I would have said Kieth Senior was a better player than Cunningham in the SL era and no statue ! also Sculthorpe

unfortunately Tom Van vollen hoven wasnt from Elephant lane and Alex Murphy played for leigh Warrington and coached Wigan so those are credentials enough for not having a statue built at Saints new ground.


anyway Terrry Newton played for Great Britain more times than Cunningham and he had competiton from Jon Clarke

He made plenty of appearances against Aus. He also snapped his arm at the elbow (Which hurts a little) whilst playing for GB, so lets not character assasinate the best ever Super League player.

Radlinski really struggled in his last few years and his team was largely terrible. He was one of those hype monsters who was credited with brilliance despite defending like a chocolate fireguard at times. Up until the end of Anderson's reign Wellens was inspirational, playing well above his ability levels.

Shows how few quality fullbacks we develop in this country though. I bet there are 10 fullbacks in the NRL currently that are better than those two.

over half of that list wouldnt get near an Australian Test Jersey though....
Farrell and Sculthorpe, and Cunningham at his very prime might do....

Radlinski was miles better than Wellens in my opinion
