No I see it (the titans Job) as the biggest coaching vacancy available in rugby League at this present time and the guys we are after aren't in the hunt for it.

why you put ONE in Capitals I'm not sure there are only TWENTY EIGHT top level coaching positions in the whole world so yes ONE vacancy is quite important.

We look to be getting someone from the NRL but I'd prefer not to unless they're going to bring exciting rugby.

The NRL is the premier competition of the sport because of the players that play there but not because of the rugby the coaches have them playing. I really hope we don't bring over someone who'll have us playing yawn inducing, one-out, modern Aussie-style rugby league!

I think it was on that NRL 360 programme that they were discussing Origin Coaches and the general agreement was you don't have to do much coaching.
It's three games you just have to get your selections right.

Even Fatty Vautin coached Queensland to a series win.... he hadn't coached before that and never coached after it.
Mal Meninga is the greatest Origin coach there has ever been but he's now coach of Australia....(another tough gig

) because he was hopeless at club level coaching Canberra and no other club has ever been interested.

On this thread I've been posting the current betting on the next coach,it's not changed since last time I posted and I check it regularly, well it's gone. So I'm wondering as a coach been appointed or an offer made that's caused the betting to disappear.

Don't know what to read into this but it could be as you say that an offer has been made.

I'm surprised Smith's departure didn't even get a mention on the SL show. Maybe one of either Iestyn Harris or Denis Betts is our new manager.

Very odd, I just went to look at the betting, Pay is still 4/5, but it's the Maguire into 5/2 maybe Karl is into him like a terrier and won't take no for an answer and odd because Maguire as stated he does not want to leave Sydney.

Well to be honest I've not seen that he as,just same as others,which is basically reading reports online. And they are saying he doesn't want the Titan's job because he wants to stay in Sydney with his family.

I just hope that we're not once again being used as a bargaining chip by the various candidates.
