You can only beat what's Infront of you, Hull have been worse than pathetic. Are they interested? I've seen us put some patchwork quilt sides out, because of our injuries, but 90% of the time, they've tried. Hull just haven't.

I'd say the Cas team who beat us at the HJ was probably more hit by injuries than tonight's Hull. Cas have been badly affected by injuries all year and are in the top 4. Certainly is to do with attitude.

I expected a thrashing. Hull are a blitz side losing every key back and a prop down.
It's fortunate they amassed a great start when the halves were fit...theyd be in real danger of keeping Widnes up if they were in the qualifiers.

I agree totally. Hull have had a real tough time. Any club would have struggled with what they've got out. Kelly, Sneyd, Connor & Minichello are big players. We sometimes pretend that luck with injuries are not important. They are ... and we have been pretty lucky this year. They were trying tonight but they are not that good ... and we were on a bit of a mission to wipe away Wembley blues.

....add to that them releasing their main prop Watts too.

One of my main gripes about Wire sides of the past is we have often been fragile, other clubs bounce back from a bad result but Wire tended to follow up one bad result with a bad run of form (especially a problem in the Cullen era).

No way would I have ever thought we'd be scoring 80 a few days after the Wembley disappointment. That is a good sign.
