Possibly, but at this point, Gidley is the better player, and I like what Russell offers at FB.

Yes, I agree I think TS will omit Penny and Julien.

Or Gidley off the bench and omit Smith

I think that's exactly what will happen.

Gidley needs to be saved over the 80 and has the utility advantage of covering FB, SO, SH and hooker. He can also bring the composure needed when things get a bit heated.

Patton is either to start in the halves (as Karetaker) or be on the bench as back up for Gidley.
Smith and Julien to miss out.

But

I can easily see the case for Patten and Gidley starting, Ratch at f/b and Russell on the Penny wing.
Then Penny and Julien to miss out.
It really depends on how fit Gids is.
If he's not 100% I wouldn't want him playing a full match, otherwise he's likely to get injured again and the miss the final completely.

Even if we made the final I think it would be a risk to bring him back.

The mods wouldn't allow it.

Why? It's in the public domain on his twitter account anyway. "Rumour" was that he'd been sacked by the club but (again on his twitter) he's responded directly to say that its not true and that he's going nowhere.

Quite why the club have come out to explain his absence to the extent they have though is anyone's guess.

Same 13 as last week but with Gidley onto the bench. Shame we also couldn't put another prop on the bench though but with Harrison leaving, Bailey possibly injured but possibly not, Dodds due to leave and Cox being a bit rubbish we have no options.

Dwyer appears to be this years Hodgson and is on Smiths naughty step.

Shame if true about Dwyer enjoyed most of his performances since his return. Tony's naughty step must be the widest in SL now that everyone's new darling Tom's backside appears to be off it

So what is actually going on in the club then?

This season we've had Bailey misbehaving, Linehams attitude, Penny putting on weight, Dwyer out of favour, Sandow being sacked (all rumours / speculation I might add) but where are these coming from??? I'm a believer of there being no smoke without fire but seriously??
