Warrington were always going to get beat last night for a number reasons, it seems only I could see it.

You were lucky in that Leeds and Warrington played the worst games of their seasons against you.

Well done though. I don't think anyone thought that SAints were going to go through the season unbeaten, just many thought their would be more resistance from Leeds, Wire and Wigan than Saints have so far had to face.

I'm shocked and, to be honest, disappointed, as neither comp so far has been a good watch.

yes your right Warrington actually played very very well, our ball retention was exceptional and our offloading and Attacking play was delicious we played with all the control of an NRL team, at times we were just supreme. We never gifted Saints any cheap ball at all so credit must go to Saints for beating us while we played at such a high standard.

Lomax was outstanding with his constant move of the "dummy drop off" ripping us open every time he did it......Saints earned their field position by continually doing the hard yards up the field time after time as Warrington have not been giving away cheap penalties all season and continued to maintain that high standard last night. it was a Warrington side completing its sets to an imaculate standard, so the weight of possession was heavily in Warringtons Favour, so I cant really praise Saints enough they were absolutely incredible...

You had 9 penalties, Saints had 4, I think you gained considerably more field position from penalties than us

I'd wager any other team in the top 8 would have done a better job than Warrington in that first 40 and any in the top 4 (Hull, Hudds, Wigan and maybe Leeds) would have done better in the following 40.

I can't remember the last time I have seen a Warrington team that bad! (I volunteered to test those MIB mind wiper thingies before we won the CC in 2009!)

Warrington were pretty bad last night, but you have to give Saints credit. I heard an elderly Warrington fan coming out of the groudn commenting on how our sliding defense really snuffed Warrington out and that Warrington pretty much ran out of ideas. When you are struggling to make the hard yards you are more likely to make mistakes. Although some of the Warrington mistakes were real bloopers, Saints really put the squeeze on them defensively all over the park.

Most of the errors were unforced.

Yes to the naked eye they were unforced errors, but when a team is 18-0 down in no time at all, the scoreboard creates pressure in itself and errors arising from a team overplaying to desperately try and get back into it are far more likely.

And if we hadn't done the same for the past few weeks i'd agree with you.

17 errors a game, we've been doing it for the previous 8 rounds.

Since Simmons departure if anything he's got worse. Last night his quizzing the ref on just about every decision against Saints, no matter how insignificant, waving arms and little childish foot stamping paddies were an embaressment not only to himself and Saints (which I couldn't care less about) but to the sport in general.

Pot Kettle Black Lee Briers should take up refereeing when he finishes as he has been refing games for most of his career and never shuts up!

after 30 mins played , 14 missed tackles 10 handling errors widnes would of put 22 on us in that period , penaltys dont even come into it with stats like that

True although firstly I don't think Warrington have looked like the team of last year all season and secondly Leeds will have had no idea at all of what was going to turn up at Langtree Park. That was a 360 degree turnaround by Saints that only a very good kick up the jacksy could have produced. No team could have planned for that and Leeds were totally shellshocked. Plus, Leeds haven't beaten us at home since 2008 so for a few years now we have beaten them at least once during the regular rounds. Last year, under our now apparently terrible, awful, atrocious former coach, we beat them home and away, and that was with a team half full of 20 year olds. So it wasn't such a surprise that we beat Leeds. But Warrington really did help us out no end, it has to be said.

stuff like getting a penalty and then not making touch with the kick giving you possession, or getting a penalty and knocking on on the first tackle giving you possession, or getting a penalty and offloading to a Saints player on the first tackle giving you possession, meant we could have had a hundred penalties it would have made no difference.

Wire and Saints have played many many games over the last few years when Wires have been Brilliant but Saints have been even Better.
