Jake Mamo would be a very useful addition. He's quick ... a bit eccentric (from what I've seen) but he's handy.

Was very good before he got injured but very average in the games since. Maybe a new environment might get him back to his best.

It was an assumption of mine that Roberts was not released because our owners wanted to give the savings in his wages to their beneficiaries. (As you well know).

The point was to RB that money is not the only tool in the nal of getting what you want (if indeed this is what we want)

Says a lot for the state of SL though when we are talking about doing mercenary style tap-ups to turn a player's head by throwing the cash around, when the player is Jacob Miller. He's not a bad player but he's not the sort of elite player I'd be throwing money at.

It all feels a bit like the Cullen days, when we were paying over the odds for players.

I'd rather we took more of a moneyball approach and looked for which players were undervalued.

Jake mamo seems like a pointless signing if true unless Ratchford is moving in to the halves and Brown is finally getting the boot? He's not really a utility player he's pretty much a dead set fullback.

As a starting 17 player I’d agree with you, however with Mitch Brown gone we need to replace the cover he gave for wing and full back. Towards the back end of last season he was playing wing and centre for Huddersfield and he played plenty of wing in Aus.

I think you are wrong on this. From what I've seen of him he might just get his chance and then take some shifting. It's always good to have plenty of options. We were pretty lucky with injuries last year so Mitch Brown didn't play that much but you can't rely on it.

Yes - Price seems to be the man to get consistency out of ‘above-average’ players who don’t necessarily have ‘star’ quality. Although I do feel we need a bit more flair in the halves and hopefully Austin will provide this.

I was making more a general point about how contracts need not be in the way of player acquisition when there is a true will to recruit them - even if the player is currently in a club with wealthy owners.

I'd rather we get the best available talent we can find in the 2 marquee spots.
