| BSW. That is part of our problem. We only have one Thug...Westwood.
Pies have shed loads of them. Bateman, Farrell, Flower, Mikey Mac...and more.

I think this season has been a learning curve, even for the great TS. He looked gutted in the interview and he knows change is needed, hence all the new signings for next year. Everyone makes mistakes. This season will make TS a better coach for next year.

I actually thought the Wigan pack called Sims' bluff. he was taken off after the handbags in the first half, but after his altercation in the second half he didn't take a carry for about ten minutes.

Accepted, I don't watch him every week, though you seem to be the most frequent team on Sky. Last year he was sharp, fast, made few errors and composed. This year he looks like a rabbit in the headlights, not a reigning Man of Steel.'"
He's been our second best player behind Hill in my opinion.
His stats this season are almost identical to his 2013 stats. Last year was a stand out year, he might only reach those levels a couple of times again in his career.

I agree, but Sims didn't stand down. He seemed to have a breather but then did a full on charge into the forwards. Sims didn't anyone backing him up. There was no one else in that Wire side in the second half looking to put any aggression I to the tackle what so ever so it must have felt like 3 on one most of the time. Even Benny didn't put any crunchers in.

Fair enough, as I say I have only seen him play on TV and against Cas.
I'm not really one for statistics but I've seen far less clean breaks from dummy half in the games I have watched. I expected him to progress from 2014, not regress back to his 2013 form which was his first season as a first team regular.

| Clarke has been an unsung hero in the last 1/4 of the season. He has been playing a backrower pack role more than he has a hooker. He has done well.

| I can forgive Clark. He's a young kid, moving to a new club, with massive expectations on his shoulders as reigning MoS. I think he and we both would have liked better, but he's playing behind one of the worst packs in the league.

A Man of Steel hooker has been playing in the pack? Are you kidding me?
He just looked like a poor hooker tonight, rubbish at dummy half and throwing passes here, there and everywhere. And his defence looks shot, he doesn't seem to be on the same page as the defenders either side.
Maybe it's down to the coaching, but he looks lost to me.

| Not unless I've been watching Phil Clark!
Dwyer comes on, Clark gets 5mins, then they are both on. Dwyer continues at dummy half and Clark moves out to the right. That has been happening since Higham saw the rot.

+1/2
It was,but Agar isn't free from blame, whether because his cousel to TS is poor or because he says nothing playing the part of an organ grinders monkey.
I cannot believe TS would give Agar full control of training...would he?

Disagree Gaz I think this lad drops the ball more times per game than any other player I've seen in the p and b. Not just talking last night in the wet conditions either. What I like about Ben is his commitment to the cause but along with Atkins serial off-loads with little end product usually gone early in tackle count as swell

I ripped Harrison last week for hisunenforced handling errors, but in the first half last night he was excellent, it was a shamehe didn't get two penalties awarded for two blatant attacks to the knee by wigan players, Farrell I think it was.

He does seem a bit clueless on how to turn things around, don't worry my team are heading in a downward direction as well.

Watch it back mate. Great yards, his offloads stuck and he tackled everything.

| For me last nights performance was down to a number of issues:
1. Wigan were allowed to get away with murder at the play the ball. Flopping was outlawed years ago but unfortunately Mr Childs doesn't appear to be aware of this. Nevertheless, Wire should have been aware that this is a regular part of the Wigan game plan and therefore had measures in place to combat it.
2. Sandow isn't Briers Mk2. I realise its early days, but Im truly worried that we've got a dud on our hands for the next two years. He doesn't appear to have a long accurate pass in his armoury, his game management is questionable and he doesn't take people on. Oh, and whilst he can offer a variety of kicks, Im not sure if he knows when and where to use them.
3. The video ref gods have not been on our side for the last 3 games. How Wigan's first try was given is beyond me. The referee didn't think it was a try, even the Sky muppets didn't think it was a try... but Silverwood did!!
4. We were rubbish.
Ive watched the Wire for more than 50-years and Im afraid last night was one of my worst experiences as a supporter. Consequently, Im going to try and avoid any further emotional involvement with this team until some sort of turnaround is apparent. How I do that is not clear to me at the moment... maybe Ill look at the scores but not read the reports.

| A bit confusing that the first attempt at a Wigan try that resulted in a goal line drop out was not examined as far back as the kick through by Wigan....the player who nearly scored was well offside.
