The one in the first half was forward, the others weren't. Ball steal was also correctly called, Ratchford pulled it out.

The balance of penalties and six agains didn't match the game either. Someone said 13-3 to you combined, which is odd given the game was so tight.

We were pretty poor tonight, attack is miles off and unable to get any sort of consistent go forward despite the forwards generally being on top. Right edge wide open with Batchelor and Makinson missing, but we just about did enough. Can't wait to see Vaughan's stats, didn't feel like he made any ground at all, be amazed if he did 120m+ like he usually does.

If Bells try was from a forward pass it makes the win even sweeter

Pass nowhere near as forward as everyone is making out. Inside pass plus passer is tackled makes it look much worse. Optical illusion. If you slow it down side on at release it’s marginal at best, probably fine.

Regardless I’d be more concerned about the markers switching off. You can’t allow that to happen.

Shame as aside from switching off twice the defence was great.

Green struggled but he says to be in the 17 ahead of Dudson. Same for Wrench. Why is he 18th man? I know he gets caught out defensively but he’s got pace at least and Minekin gets caught out every game and offers nothing.

Drink water kicking game much better but he offers nothing ball in hand. Did really well to stay close considering.

One other point. They must have conceded 10 plus pens and resets fist half. No warning. The game doesn’t help itself. Had to be a bin, and Welsby should have been binned for the cynical flop. Though refs never give “flop” anyway so surprised he gave it!

Two poor teams with players missing if we're honest. Only one halfback on the field and he made the difference. Drinkwater is turned out well but not sure why he's on the field. NRL clubs keen on Dodds - seriously? Players back in the next few weeks may improve matters provided Kasiano and Dudson aren't amongst them. Powell must regret most of the signings he's made.

You definitely won the should have been sin binned by 4-1, in particular where there were two high shots within minutes perhaps Smith was operating a three strikes rule.

The MRP will get you though expect to be without Lee's and Hurrel, Duddson will probably cop a ban for us but no great loss.

Dodds was awful. He’d be lucky to get in this Warrington team nevermind the NRL.

Lees for what? Hurrell's shouldn't be a ban, just an open hand collecting a falling player. It's a penalty but it's not worth a card or ban.

What you going to do when the referee lets 3 forward passes go in the act of scoring 3 tries. Disgusting. Having said that, Dudson is an absolute moron, and that last 15 minutes was painful to watch. We were falling off tackles like nobody's business. Every set they got closer to our line and we kicked away from it closer still. It was a matter of time before they got over.

7-3 on penalties in Warrington’s favour. Vaughan ran for 139, more than any other forward. The hall steal, ok there may be some influence on the ball by Ratchford, but that wasn’t consistent with the decision made against Clark in the last minute. Don’t mind either way in them, but be consistent. The pass for the Bell try, it’s one of those that if they go for you, you take. But if that was the other way around you’d be equally as annoyed.

Well you need some more bans as grist for the conspiracy mill.

Was satisfied with the effort ....this has to be the new minimum and not a one off showing to placate the fans...attack showed some flair ... To be honest we didn't push it hard enough on the fringes where we had them for pace ... Defence thankfully was less passive... Get a couple back ...drop a couple and let's go to Wigan with this intent where they won't fancy getting into a game with a semi final beckoning the following week

A much better performance. 1, definitely. And 1 possible try that was from a forward pass. About 4 decisions should have been different. That hurrell ball drops 5 metres from our try line being the biggest.
But The question remains where that effort was for the last 6-8 weeks. If we put that effort in and lost the last 8. We wouldn't have been calling for Powell head.
Still. A much better performance and if this signals a turning point. We will win more than we will lose.

Side note from me. Man of the match.for me was Joe bullock. Some great hard yards gained in the second phase post collision. And matty Russell. What was it. Well over 100 metres ground out bringing the ball forward. Superb effort from all the youngsters last night.
Maybe we should have bought dean back from loan. Drop mata'utita for him and I'd of had wrench in for minikin

I endorse the Joe bullock view... He has been getting much better over the last 12 months and shouldn't be ignored by the fans or the coaching staff for the effort he makes routinely
