Sorry it was someone else who said that, my mistake.'"
That would have been me, but to be fair I did say one of the most cowardly acts, not the most cowardly. I would also say that much of that post was written in the spur of the moment within seconds of watching the match on TV for the first time. However, I stand by my comment about it being cowardly.

This whole thing that Wane was filmed saying too is a bit daft. Like coaches up and down the country haven't used emotive language and exaggeration to fire their players up. Rugby League players are certainly able to read between the lines. I'm sure all of them in that dressing room heard "Create mayhem, be reckless, knock people out" and understood it to mean "be agressive, get in their faces, hit them hard, take risks". I mean, I know people think he is, but Wane (and the Wigan team) aren't nearly that stupid to say that when the cameras are rolling.'"
You clearly come across as an intelligent and articulate individual and would obviously take some statements and instructions with a pinch of salt whether it be from a coach or your mother. But we are talking about a group of testosterone fueled young guys, desperate to win, many of who are hardly the sharpest tools in the box, being told by a guy they possibly idolize and would do just about anything for to go out and knock people out, cause mayhem etc. If Shaun Wane built his players up before the Saints Grand Final in the way he did on that video, then it could be argued that he is partially responsible for Ben Flowers ott assult on Lance Hohaia and from there wigans defeat as well.
Anyway, chip paper now, can't wait for the return at the HJ.

You know what the problem really is, over the last five years youve got players who have massive ty chips on their shoulders, like the tomkins bros, mccilorum, Crosby, and a few others, but what's surprising is how many players you've signed that seem to have the Wigan scowl and attitude, flower and dudson were pretty normal forwards at the crusaders, sarginson and clubb, I don't know what you've done to club but he seems a right horrible nice bloke now compared to when he was at London.
It was no surprise that bateman signed for you, cos he's a horrid niggly poop house, notice you didn't pick up whitehead from Bradford.'"
Call me Sherlock, but I'm spotting a common denominator in all this.
I've put my deerstalker on, played my violin, and consulted my friend John, and come up with these clues.
Our perpetrator
1) has a penchant for bananas
2) on a team defeat, will regularly put emphasis on a ref's performance
3) likes to talk about winning/losing "the floor"
4) during lovemaking, he will mistakingly call his wife "Mickymac"
5) an anagram of his name is HAS A NEW UN
6) is an odious gobpooh, with no redeeming character traits at all
As a well known Australian sex offender would say....
"Can you tell who it is, yet?"

| This whole incident could (but wont) bite Wigan on the bum, and it's the ref's fault.
(I can't be ar53d trawling through 8 pages, to see if it's already been posted, but) Farrell had already been sin-binned for the professional foul on Clark (iirc). He comes back on, and then shows, yet again, Wigan's ugly side. He could've easily pulled out of his assault. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing. Had Hicks done his job properly, Farrell would've been shown him another yellow card, which (I assume) is an automatic sending off. Wigan then play the rest of the game with 12 (they'd've CERTAINLY lost, then), but, (again, if I've got this right) 2 yellow cards doesn't warrant a visit to Red Hall on a Tuesday night. The ref "bottled it", so the game could continue as 13 v 13.
Now, old ginger boy has to go up before the RL beaks, as he's been "called in".
Personally, I've got more chance of having a pooh in the Queen's handbag, than him getting banned, BUT, the opportunity is there, and Wigan are short on numbers, as their posters have CONTINUOUSLY reminded us, since their defeat. Had Hicks done his job properly, Farrell and Monkey Man would've saved the petrol money on a trip to Leeds tomorrow night.

There's no rule for it. Practically I can't see a referee ever sin binning someone three times though of course

| The fact that the little scroat ran off immediately after the incident tells me all I need to know, he knew what he was doing and knew what he had done and that act was premeditated without doubt. Hiding way out of any action until half time shows just what a cowardly little scroat he is. He will get what Red Hall see fit and I think fans of any other team like us will have a pretty good guess at that.

| I was very surprised that Isa escaped a charge for his peculiar attempt to tackle Cox by leaping towards him with his knee leading.
The disciplinary outcome was:
"Player jumps on approach into tackle. Knee is promoted forwards however knee does not make contact with opponent".
That doesn't really promote any confidence in the process does it?
I always keep an eye out for Sam Powell too.
He's had 11 cases against him since July 2014 compared to 3 for Farrell in the same period.
All but one against Powell were for dangerous contact in the tackle, yet he has been charged only once.

| I've watched the game again and Willie Isa did two assaults on Cox that were to say the least dangerous. I would not in any way call them tackles. Cox got hurt (but tried to brush it off) and was lucky not to suffer more damage. One was picked up by the commentary team saying he led with his knees. The disciplinary committee reported that he did indeed led with his knees but made no contact with the attacking player with them. It's a bit like swinging a big punch and missing ... and so being let off for it. Players with the ball need more protection.
* Sorry about this. I wrote this at the same time as above comment was appearing. I too have always noticed Sam Powell ... he is a dangerous little man who comes in late and low

I remember Brent Webb getting binned twice in a game (London away I think) - can't think of any other instance though

iirc thought that was against us at the HJ. One for fighting with Ben W the other for backchating the ref.

| I'll have to go undercover to have that pooh, now. Mind you, Michael Fagans managed to get himself into Her Maj's bedroom in the 80's. Hope the Corgis don't catch me. I'll just blame it on them.
