I reckon Wigan will have too much for Saints although I'm not bothered either way who wins as long as they knock seven bells out of each other in the process (a draw would be ideal).

Want a Saints win, or perhaps a draw, with a few minor 1 week sidelined injuries, so Saints have to field their H-Grade team against us. People can say that they'd rather beat Saints at full stength, which I would, but I'd rather not chance losing over slipping down the table and having to play away in the play offs, that's making it harder for ourselves.

I don't want to be playing Saints on the back of a loss against Wigan.

Wigan 'fans' have spent the last 5 years banging on more about crowds and patting themselves on the back about what great fans they than talking about about Rugby League.

Up their own @rses they certainly are.

a,world club challenge
b,super league trophy
c,challenge cup(which we own atm)
d,league leaders shield

Only a and b of those are worth winning.

Trust me, once you lot win Super League (Which IMO you will do within the next 5 years) you won't hold the Challenge Cup in the same regard. It's a historic tournament but with the advent of Super League installing an enormous gap between the divisions, the cup really isn't a massive achievement anymore.

thought as much..for me the gf is the one to win after that its wembley..winning the league does`nt have the same glamour that it had years ago but it would be nice.

Whilst I agree that winning the GF & WCC are the greatest achievements, you can live with a day out in London for the CC Final. The last two years have been fantastic.

Thats probably the order atm, although I still think the league leaders shield should hold a lot more esteem, as that team is obviously the one that has performed the best throughout the year.

And yes, I'll still say the same even if it ends up being your team.

Or is it just that they've been luckiest with injuries? The play offs sort the men from the boys now. If it was moved back to first past the post things would change dramatically IMO. Teams these days don't panic about losing games like they used to.

Yup. Saints lost all their half backs for the run in.

I meant in terms of Wire really, they were the ones challenging us for most of the season.

Saints must just train full contact on a concrete pitch for all the injuries you get. Can't be a coincidence that so many get injured so regularly can it?

If Wigan fans need directions to the Halton stadium can PM me if you want. Loads of Wire went there two years ago in the challenge cup semi and last year. I think most of Wigan got lost.

Because they are going to win on Sunday and beat us next week silly. They see Wigan as a bigger threat than Saints. I guess now the Wall of Cunningham is down, beating Saints must seem like a walk in the park.
