Went to the DW tonight to witness one of the best back lines in the game. I am still puzzled as to how Morris didn't end up with four. To the Wiganer saying St George were out on their feet for the last ten, sorry Chief, you are well of the mark. Last five minutes of the first half; yes. The last ten minutes of the game, they were throwing the ball around in a most un-Australian way.

The simple fact of the matter is Wigan utilise an NRL-orientated approach to controlling the PTB. St George are simply better at doing the exact same thing.

These sad Wire fans who are making fun of Tomkins would kiss his backside if he played for us.

Quality player, don't like his arm holding in the tackle when he has the ball to milk a penalty but quality player non the less.

you see I dont mind that, he rarely (if ever to my mind) gets penalised for it but gets his team plenty of penalties by doing it...so why stop ?

its out and out cheating but if the refs are too stupid to spot it its not Tomkins fault.
And if opposition players are also too stupid to not spot it and let the ref know or give Tomkins a crack to highlight the illegal play for the ref, then again not his fault.

What I would have problem with is his pooh house tactics like going in on Morris with the Knees,
head butting a player on the floor for no apparant reason
the cowardly 3rd man in from behind or the side aiming at the knees, as was first made famous when he did it on Cunningham.

he's generally an on field tool and forgetting the years he has ahead of him in the game this season I wouldnt have him at Stand off over Lee briers nor full back over Brett Hodgson...

next year if he became less of a knob I'd have him in our team no danger

I don't much like the on-field attitude of either Tomkins brother but good half-backs tend to be newty blaggers ( c.f. Andy Gregory, Alex Murphy ) so maybe it goes with the territory. Seeing as their dad was a Warringtonian ( or at least lived here - I was at school with him ) they could easily have ended up on Warrington's books.

The majority of great half backs have some sort of niggle built into them, to be a scrum half you generally need to be a little cocky so and so and crafty to go with it.

The one by Sam Tomkins on Brett Morris with the knees was a cheap shot, it was total class from Morris just to walk away as it would have been easy for him to lay the little cocky so and so out on the turf, i`m a fan of Sam Tomkins as a player its just ne heeds to learn how to balance out the niggling which is fine from the cheap shots.

I'm a Tomkins fan too, but any day now someone is going to absolutely clatter him if he carries on with all this sneaky underhand stuff and put him out of the game for some time.

If he tries that arm grab on someone like Radford, he'll soon stop it

Pretty sure he's had a few people clatter him already.
Ablett pretty much elbowed him in the head at Headingley last year.
