i'm sorry but which ever way your looking at this, blaming the club is stupid, we all knew last season even that st's would be playing in smellyville, and with a reduced crowd. the fact that the club have made season ticket holders a priority makes perfect sense, either way with yed's point system i would have got maximum points for the past 5 years! i believe that saints fans are gonna be reduced in numbers anyway this year through a reluctance to travel to widnes(and who can blaim them?)

It should be first come first serve like every other away match. If it was a home match and i didn't get a ticket cause 8,000 people have season tickets, fair enough.

Blaming the club is stupid. They have been given a reduced allocation because of the difference in capacity between KR & the Stobart. Therefore they have to look into ways of giving priority, all the loyalty schemes and membership ideas mentioned in the earlier posts are fantastic and something to look at moving forward but as it stands, there is nothing like this in place.

The club have had to make a difficult decision on how to prioritise ticket sales for this fixture and have ultimately gone down the route I believe most clubs would do under such circumstances. I imagine that this will raise it's head again when Saints play Leeds and Wigan as their away following is of a similar stature to ours. Once these games take place we will be able to compare the ways in which each club deals with the reduced allocation.

Obviously this being the first home game of the season (someone correct me if I am wrong on this, as haven't checked) there was always going to be added interest as all the Saints fans get to see what it's like to have a decent ground to play their home games at

what about junior ticket holders who've got vouchers for away matches? will they have to join the first come first served mob as you suggest? or will they get tickets and the adult who has to accompany them not get one/ get one in a different part of the ground?

No it is unfair. A season ticket guarantees entry to every HOME game. If it guaranteed away games too, I would purchase one.

jd rocket what planet are you on if your that bothered buy yourself a season ticket and get in the queue tomorrow with the rest of us if not find your nearest pub showing the game and drown your sorrow's while watching the wire.

Anyone who refers to the Wire as "Wolves" should automatically be banned from attending any match anyway.

I blame the me, me, me society we have today. Everyone thinks they have the rights to get something. The club have had to make a decision on the fairest way of distributing limited tickets. I think they are right to choose a way that makes it fairer on a group of people who have invested their money up front to the club in the form of season ticket sales.

I've not got a season ticket myself yet and have no problem with someone getting a ticket before me. I'll probably end up trying for one in the Saints end if the Warrington end doesn't go on general sale.

I seem to remember there was a similar panic for tickets for Wembley, Saints away and Wigan away last season when in reality anyone who wanted a ticket could get one.

I'm totally in favour of Season Ticket Holders getting priority especially using the 1 voucher = 1 ticket idea.

The challenge cup final was a joke with people turning up and buying 6 tickets per season ticket leaving anyone who couldnt get there the night before and camp out (ok a bit of an exageration) left without tickets in the preferred areas whilst some people who didnt even know which team was Wire had the best seats.

The club offers people the chance to spread the cost over the months before the season, yes I appreciate that not everyone can afford it but in that case the same people shouldnt be allowed to spend more money that they cant afford lining saints pockets.

I think the club is totally correct here and I will still think that if I miss out and cant get a ticket tomorrow.

I think it would be a bit more long winded than that as there is a small case of discrimination in there.

Of course it's fair. Somebody who's invested a few hundred quid v someone who can get up early just to get tickets for what might be their only game of the season. It's no contest.

Of course if there was a system where you could prove you go to all games, home and away this would be as valid as season tickets first method. But there isn't, and its not worth even setting up such a system for one game a year.

It's a good job you're not a United fan scrambling for one of a couple of thousand away tickets where being a season ticket holder might get you one away per season.

I will most likely go to the game even if it is in the saints end. That is not the point. the point is and i will try and make it clear.

The club have moved the goal posts and made the buying of tickets (in this case) unfair.

My point was that it is unprofessional of the club. Not only would it be easier, but it would be fairer if they just sold them as usual.

It is about (and you probably won't understand this) principles. It is the principal of the matter.

Also, I have to pay between twenty and forty pounds on the train to get to Warrington. Plus the match ticket. So it would be like 35- 55 pounds to go the match, plus other expenses. I have to pick the ones in Lancashire selectively.
