I watched the interviews after the Hull kr defeat. Houles and olly ashall bolt sounded like broken men. Houles especially, sounded like a man who had accepted their fate. If we lose to them then Powell should be publicly sacked on the pitch afterwards a la Adam Pearson. The only bad thing about toulouse getting relegated(if they do!)is that I heard a rumour they will rejoin the French league rather than go in the championship. Really hope that isn't the case.

Not many!! Widnes away when he got 7 bells knocked out of him, (a bit more than a fat lip IIRC) kind of finished off his time at Wire as he'd lost confidence. I can't remember who it was he swapped with and my mind might be playing tricks but Russell played FB in attack and Wing on the 5th in defence in that game

I remember it well, he got absolutely buried and was shipped out fairly soon after. Having said that, he's still pretty nippy from dummy half so I expect him to steal some easy, cheap meters and get them upfield.

We could do with a few of his scoots now to break up play & get our game flowing.

As someone else posted on here if Toulouse win against us they are 2 points behind. Toulouse could beat Catalans in the derby, Hull FC are hot and cold and Saints could rest their team. Not likely, but not impossible.

Toulouse wouldn’t beat Catalans and they wouldn’t beat Saints reserve side either. Even if they did somehow come up with a win against Hull, (who battered them 2 weeks ago), and we didn’t win another game, we’d still be ahead of them on points difference.

They’ve already beaten Saints and it was far off a saints reserve side as well and this time they’d be fighting for their SL existence

Re: Russell.

If he’s on the wing surely we kick behind him rather than bomb him. He’s worse at defending that than even Charnley was.

A good tactical ploy but who is going to do the kicking. Our in game kicking has been abysmal.

They've wheeled Benny out now to tell us to get behind the boys. Constant social media messages, club favourites and Powell all telling the fans to get behind the team, get the place bouncing.

Remember when they did that for the first game after Covid vs Hudds.

I'm starting to get worried they're going to be adding pressure to a team that cannot handle it. A baying crowd, "bouncing" cannot hide it's reactions to a dropped ball or a crap kick, it's natural to groan, maybe not in anger but in disappointment. All mistakes that happen normally in a match, but one's that our current bunch get disheartened about, start to self doubt and crumble.
