| Glad it has as only would have been used to brown nose Sam Tomkins and as a chance for Phil Clarke to bore me to death with stats galore.
Anyone know why Paul Cullen disappeared off the tv?

| I think BT would look at Rugby League as something to be scraped of its shoe....they are far more interested in RU which attracts a better class of sponsor & advertiser. Sky seem to be more interested in Union these days & with motor racing ,cricket & NFL, our sport is used to fill a gap in their schedule.

| Twaddle it might have been but it was a magazine programme and extra coverage for our sport. I was quite looking forward to some kind of season preview with the in and outs of each club and views, however biased on the season ahead.
It looks now we are on a par with the like of netball. One might assume that some form of coverage was negotiated with the last contract ....... oh hang on a minute, were these the same numpties who agreed the zero value sponsorship deal with Stobart.
Heaven help us if one of games runs over, they will have to lose the finale to cut to the repeat of the Mozambique Beer Mat Tossing Comp - North Region - U17's

| So apart from the live games is it just the Super League full time show now ?
Sky didn't bother with the Super tries or season review specials over Christmas neither !. I did send them a tweet to ask why but didn't get a reply.

Apparently Sky did not renew his contract.

As has been said, would've thought BT sport may have come in for it.
Feel they will take anything in to get one over sky!!
They have a good choice of sport on their channel, and all get pretty good coverage.

| Premier Sports used to cover Championship RL & a sweetner to the deal was £10 of your subscription went directly to your nominated Club, so you get coverage of your team, league & money in your clubs coffers.
It would be nice if they could cover all RL, NRL, SL & Championship + Origin & Internationals with the same £10 nominated Club deal.
Seems that our Chiefs have sold us short again.

www.skysports.com/rugby-league/n ... eague-deal
THe RFL signed a 5 year extension with Sky sports in jan 14, which includes all england internationals iirc after 2017 so there'll be no RL on free to air TV.
There was outrage when this was announced as it was sold as locking up our future for the next ten years or so guarenteeing us on a sports platform, however to the outsider/punter we had sold ourselves short again as the ££ wasn't exactly spectacular in the wake of BT's union deals and what sky were throwing around to the premier league for live games. And we hadn't even waited for the current deals expiry period in order to test the market and also test sky sports hand to see what they would actually pay to keep us.
Its like one of the crap games of deal or no deal where someone takes the offer really early and its pretty just so they can pay off their over draft.
I believe boots n all has been cut as a cost cutting measure, much like other magazine programmes on Sky sports, presumably so they can keep paying premier league teams undeserved amounts of money. Because of that we now have programs like netball from the Sunderland YMCA, and the ping pong championships(this was on last week). Sky sports is slowly turning into ESPN 'The Ocho'.

| Our game really is run on the style of a working man's club with a cloth cap attitude to business. The game needs to be getting more publicity not less & preferably free to view .

thats always been my complaint when teams were promoted into Superleague originally, the likes of Hull Sharks, Widnes, salford and Leigh were all still operating on the maroon blazer, local business running firm handshake brigade that was the case pre 1995 revolution. Hence why it took them a fair while to get up to speed while others were, well, quite a lot were still struggling but slightly ahead of the curve with a different mindset.

BT sport also have UHD sport if you take out BT TV, Sky have been putting their energy into a new Sky Q box being UHD broadcast ready and from what I have read Sky is not that far off delivering UHD broadcast, all in good time I suppose but the thought of watching Wire and SL in UHD would be great.

| All I can say is that I hope whoever negotiates the TV rights is not the same person who could not find a major league sponsor and subsequently gave away the league naming rights for a few banners on the sides of Eddie Stobart refrigerated lorries.

Sounds about right.
Pretty gutted about this, me. I liked Boot'n'All, i watched every week from day dot. I feel like after a good World Cup in 2013, a cracking season last year with the new system and a well supported Kiwi series isn't being treated seriously by Sky at all and we're just being put on a backburner with the likes of field hockey or something.

Football get big name companies (Barclays, Canon, Littlewoods, Emirates, Carling, Coca Cola, as well as the Champs League/World Cup big hitters Visa, McD's etc )
3 point game gets blue chip, like Guinness, Heineken, Aviva
F1 and golf get glamour names
What do we get, First Utility (who'd heard of them, before 2 years ago), Slalom Lager and a mushy ####ing pea company.
Well done to all concerned.
No wonder other sports laugh at us/treat us with disdain. The RFL bring it all on, themselves.
I'm just imagining Rod Studd's first post match interview with that game's MotM award winner saying "Thanks to Batchelor's for t' peas"

| Batchelors Peas are manufactured by Princes Group, and their parent is Mitsubishi Corporation.
Premier Foods licence the name to Princes.
Just go and have a look at how big those companies actually are. They've also got plenty of other brands to promote if this deal goes well.

.....but our "be all and end all (according to Sky)" competition, is being sponsored by a Mushy Pea brand...
I don't care if it's being endorsed by Unilever/Shell/ Microsoft owned brand.......
....it's mushy loving peas
If it wasn't so pathetic, it would be funny.
I've just informed Mrs Goldblatt of this mega deal (she used to be a Wilderspool regular throughout the 90's, but is an armchair fan these days). She just sed and said "that's embarrassing"
