We have several players who are not at their best at the moment. I don't know if they need a rest, kick up the backside, or more game time to get back to full match fitness, I suspect it’s the latter with some of them and don’t think we’ll see too many changes.

Even seasoned professionals go through periods where their confidence and belief in in themselves suffers. I suspect TS will know which ones will benefit from support and which ones need a bit of a wake up call.

I'd try and rest Waterhouse on Thursday. He's done the full 80 v Wigan and Saints and put in some really big defensive shifts. Ben Westwood returns on Thursday so I would be tempted to rest Trent ready for Monday.

Carvell needs more game time for me...needs to put in some basic hard graft..and build up his confidence again...so he must play.

Dropping senior players who are out of form is the wrong thing to do, let them work through it. They will be aware of what they need to do.

Don't underestimate the influence of Ben Westwood coming back into the team as well, far and away our best player at the moment.

Everyone will be well aware we are failing to meet the standards we set last year....they must be given the chance to put things right on the pitch. The coach has a big part to play in getting our focus right and concentrating on building a solid foundation in a match before the expansive switch is turned on.

Ditto, Matty Blythe comes across as a squad player at best, he doesn't excel well enough in any position to warrant a starting spot.

I'd go with Moz and Chris Hill as the starting props, i'd drop either one of Paul Wood or Garreth Carvell, go with Mike Cooper and either one of Carvell or Wood as the other bench prop. at least one needs to be dropped imo.

We've been starting games slowly, in the pack Chris Hill has been our best go forward hence why i'd start him to try and get us on top from the off.

Play the strongest side possible. No point in dropping Gareth Carvell, he's just missed 2 games. Let them play themselves into form.

Widnes have the biggest 10 yards I've ever seen at the pbt, don't really matter who plays in the pack, as yards are easily made. Though both Wood and Carvell and obviously Myler should be dropped.
