| Lesley Vainikolo... With his silly fat head and dodgy hairdo, and the fact that im sure he is/was some kind of genetically modified winger. Nuff said.
Oh, and Paul Sculthorpe, irritatingly deep voice and always managed to be injured...except against Warrington

| From a Wiganers point of view :
Lee Briers – can’t stand the bar steward but a very good player who has the knack of winding the opposition fans up. IE Running backwards at the end of the game at the DW last season.
Les Boyd – dirty git, but boy was he good.
Andy Greg – when he played for you. I remember standing behind the sticks at Wilderspool with everyone chanting “Andy Gregory you’re a %^$er” (we are all so fickle aren’t we) and he just raised his hand to his ear.
Sean Long – purely because he got away, plus he needed a haircut for 90% of his career
Keith Senior – not quite as good nowadays, but just pure annoying. Plus he played for Sheffield when they beat us at Wembley.
Kerion Cunningham - already covered by wirefan above.
Could quite easily go on and on. Good thread.
From my perspective I guess Wigan players I imagine who would fall into the category – Shaun Edwards, Dean Bell, Offiah, Sam/Joel Tomkins, Kelvin Skerritt?

| Tomkins (sam) will be I think given time. I didn't get to see the good side of offiah and Edwards or Hanley for that matter.
I'll add Henry and Robbie Paul as a Bulls duo to my original list too.

| off on a slightly different tangent.... players i just didn't/dont like... regardless of whether i wanted them in my team or not.
Tawera Nikau - I couldnt stand him when he played at cas... to the point where i was disappointed when we signed him.. because it meant i could never hate him that much again.. don't know what he did to cause me to dislike him so much... i have no doubt it clouded my judgement of him when he played for us as well.
Franco Botica - STOP KICKING THE BALL OVER OUR POSTS YOU COMPLETE B*****D
Ryan McGoldrick - Everytime i see him playing and he gets the ball I find myself shouting SMASH HIM. He always seems to be doing snidey things like sliding into people with his knees after they have scored a try... He does this against pretty much everyone.. but he saves the worst stuff for us... just watch what he gets up to when we play them next season. We must have upset him....Maybe someone from Warrington sh*gged his wife.

| That poor excuse for a human being at Huddersfield upto a few years ago (was his name Reilly).Cheap shot merchant with very little talent. Really glad Penny took the mick a couple of years back. Despicable waste of oxygen, that one.
Going back a couple of replies. Mark Aston. Did he EVER have a bad game against us. NO
Emosi Koloto (another one who always played well against us)
Derrick Fox

Lol. Even Castleford fans don't like McGoldrick for the same reasons the rest of us don't which I always find amusing.
Lets just open this up then. Just general hatred for what ever reason. Get it all out it should be amusing!
I'll start.
Carl Ablett - I just plain don't like the fella. I find it astonishing that he is considered a regular at Leeds, and I am even more astonished when he manages to score. In my opinion he is so average it's untrue. The sort of player who, in a lesser side would soon find his way to a championship side. To add to this he's a niggly little too. One of these last one's in, first ones out when trouble comes knocking.

Ooh, running Bailey a close second, that one
May I also throw into the ring, Mssrs Fleary and Farrell at Leeds (strange,Leeds motif happening here). I remember one of them poohing his shorts, when Andrew Gee (overrated tosh) had a go at them about 10 years ago.

The definition of 'runt'
Hanley; more a, hold your breath to see what he does, rather than hate.

| - Neil Cowie
- Ryan Bailey
- March Brothers (jesus mary and joseph, talk about 'mouth'!)
- Shontayne Hape' (fag)
- Stuart Littler (biggest mingewipe in history yet has carved us up like Greg Inglis would on countless occasions...)
- Paul Broadbent (looks like he should smoke rollies in a council house)
- Leon Pryce (cheap shot merchant and clever at it too..)
Could throw Sean Long in the mix but having read his book, I just can't help laughing everytime I see him. Bit of a penis with a sp choice of controversial hairstyles, but still, a funny guy.
Also Tomkins (Sam). I'm behind the kid everytime he plays rugby besides those games against us. Rare talent and need to keep hold of them with Union leaving their cheque books open.
Probably more..... but cant think at min.... fun topic though!

| Tomkins bros- Joel is a little whinger and likes to hit and kick out (but on the sly like a coward) Sam and his 'interpretation' of the rules.
Cockayne- another cowardly type. not particularly talented but gets under my skin.
Cuuningham- i knew he would do something with the ball. Even if it was just flop his fat head over the line.
Ryan Bailey- cheap shot merchant and loud mouth.
there is more

I always thought he was one of those refs who was biased to Wigan. A bit like Russell Smith but not as bad.

| Iestyn Harris, no one even comes close. The guy is a tw*t!
Bottled it in 1996 at home against Saints, 25-24 down with a kick to win it in the dying minutes, Chris Rudd had to take it and left it short. Then to leave "because he didn't want to play fullback" to go to Leeds and get the No1 jersey and start there every game without fail. Tw*t! Still an awesome player and developing to be just as good as a National team coach, may struggle with the Cru's though.
Also the obvious, Long Cunningham Farrell etc mainly just of talent envy. But one I can't explain why is Stanley Gene, just an ugly little scrote of a human being!

| This could be a very long list indeed if my memory was better, but a few who spring immediately to mind are:
Neil Holding
Roy Haggerty
Paul Forber
Barrie Ledger
Kurt Sorensen
Nicky Kiss
Andy Goodway
Tony Marchant
I've grown up a bit since the late 80s, though, so have fewer (slightly) irrational hatreds these days

1. Paul Reilly
2. Ben Cockayne
3. Martin Gleeson
4. Shontayne Hape
5. Lee Smith
6. Sam Tomkins
7. Sean Long
8. Ryan Bailey
9. Keiron Cunningham
10. Mick Cassidy
11. Joel Tomkins
12. Sonny Nickle
13. Andy Farrell
Could fit 100's more in there!

I can understand all those apart from Marchant and maybe Ledger too.
Neither were that good, just won the odd GB cap and neither were dirty players like the other either. Haggerty & Forber are certs though.
