Here's a novelty - why not put out our strongest possible team v Hull & try to win by 40 or even more points, thus pressuring Saints for their match on Saturday & allowing our first team to hit the Final match fit & in form?

Because it doesn't seem to be Tony Smith's way. He wants to win both trophies and to do that, we need to make sure players are ok to play up until 2nd October. He might well play a full team but that's because he feels the players need to keep the intensity up before Wembley. He'll know if anyone needs a rest.

You see TANCW, I would rest Mozza and bring Cooper in, the last time he was rested was before the England game was it not? Cooper would be a decent replacement, who was outstanding at the weekend. I just think now that Burgess and Peacock are out, we can't afford to lose our best prop, therefore we can dominate in the forwards. Losing Morley is the equivalent of Leeds losing Peacock.

He can have the second half off after we've put 30 points on them in the first half.

Get out the first team on Friday, give Hull a good ting in the last home league game, spell the players once the game is won & go to Wembley full of confidence in our own ability rather than celebrating who Leeds are doing without.

The reasons for resting players in RL are completely different to football, due to physical differences & having 2 games a week and a 60 game season. Yes you should rest players occasionally as we have, not have a plan to do it because of a 60 game season playing twice a week for 10 months.

Thank God you're not a manager when you're idea of instilling confidence in a team & momentum is to say "well we're not all that & have no faith in you doing well in both competitions, so I'm going to juggle the team to target one or the other".

Do you really believe that Smith won't be thinking about Wembley? His team selection this week will confirm that. Yes, we want to do well in both competitons, but resting three players is hardly criminal, the team I have posted is still strong enough to beat Hull IMO. Che has been resting players prior to the CCQF/CCSF.

I think Smith will be thinking about two Super League games, a Wembley final, up to three high intensity play off matches and a Grand Final. He'll know how to get the best out of our squad for the next few weeks and at the moment, the only must win is the Challenge Cup Final.

If Che says no one's thinking further than this week then frankly he's lying. I'm sure the prep for the final began as soon as the hooter went on our semi.

Exactly, then why was Monas and Big Dave rested on Sunday? I can't believe folk would actually believe that they're not thinking about the Final.
