Great win for the lads. To go behind so late in the game and then stil have the strength of character to go straight back up field shows that we have players with the right mentality.

It was great to see a planned move come off like that at the end. Gaz O'Brien has been practicing that in training all week so for it to work at such a crucial time is superb. It was just a race between Ben Evans and Tyke to see who could collect the ball first and Ben won!!!

I'm sure WalterWizard will give us his usual excellent in-depth match report but my own brief thoughts are as follows.

Marvellous entertainment from both teams in difficult conditions. This Warrington team really dug in playing against the strong wind and torrential rain out-breaks in the second-half.

I'm sure Wigan were the same but lets not forget that (I think) 8 of Warrington's 17 today are u18 players with a handfull actually from the u17 age group. Warrington also decided not to supplement the squad with the two non-playing members from this week's 19 man first team squad whereas Wigan played Palanesena (and I can claim my "I saw Feka play the full 80" t-shirt) and Pryce.

Not really conditions for expansive football but I thought O'Brien and Caslick went good in the halves. Caslick looks a lot better at this level than he did to me at u18 earlier in the season whilst I hope O'Brien gets a shot against the Aussies in December, he's certainly earnt it on performance over the last two seasons.

Best for Warrington in my opinion was McCarthy who was a real workhorse in defence and a danger with ball in hand. I also thought Liam Hulme put in a really good and effective stint off the bench.

Finally well done to Ryan Duffy who more than held his own as a 17 year old propping against Palasena.

To be truthful from 1 to 17 you could highlight the positive input the lads gave. They all deserve a big pat on their backs for completing the league double over Wigan thsi year. They will need to keep the form up to complete a treble as I'm certain that just like the first grade teams Warrington and Wigan will meet again somewhere down the track this season.

Thanks for that great comment I know Ryan will be chuffed to bits with that. He really enjoyed the game.

So he should be; he has been superb since he moved up to the Under 20s

We were much the same (TBH I think we'd have been better off without Feca & Pryce); I think the future looks bright for both clubs, which will nicely upset the Saints & Leeds lot! I was impressed with Broughton when he came on, as well as those you've mentioned.

Agree, he has the kicking game needed to trouble the Australian Schoolboys (who picked their squad yesterday). They have some big forwards who need to be turned around and come off their own line.

Fantastic game from all lads involved in both teams, and well deserved result for the wolves.

Can honestly say though that Wigan have to have some of the worst supporters, one woman in particular was outragous to the point she verbally abused the young ref when he came off, calling him a t**t, very classy lady NOT... boy do they make excuses when things dont go their way

He did make a few mistakes..but there really isn't any need, she was an embaressment.

When Feka came of she went a gave him a kiss (urgh!!) she was about the same size of him, so suspect he might off been a little afraid to say no!!

Very entertaining game, both on the field and in the stands..

Was Pryces a try just before half time it looked as though he hit the corner flag from where I was sat.

He wasn't offside at all; the ball bounced off a Wigan player before he got to it.

It was very hard to tell with Pryce's try but it does look as though he hit the corner flag before he got the ball down. It is one of them where if you are the team scoring it you are made up, if not you are a bit miffed!!!
