A second row needs the ability to be able to pass the ball and tackle (much like a centre is supposed to do). He can't do neither.

I'm picking up the message that you don't really rate our Ryan. So you are not really going to want him in the team ... anywhere. Whereas I reckon he's one of our strongest runners. Hence the number of tries he has scored.

There is a lot of hard and dirty work to be done in the forwards, Ryan doesn't have that in his game, he is however a very strong runner but he cant pass and tackling is not his favoured suit. If he had had 10 or so games coming in as a forward I might want him on the bench, for me leave him out of it if we cant get him in at centre. T King has at fine.

A good test of a player's merit in the side is to ask yourself if he didn't currently play for us would we sign him now? I don't think we would sign him as centre or second row now.

I really don't understand the recent grief Atkins is currently getting. Had he NOT got injured, he'd be one of the first names on the team sheet. However, he DID get injured, and now Price will make (probably already has) his decision.
He is a STRONG runner, who opposition defences fear. His try scoring record proves it.

Yes, he has a reluctance to pass, as he trusts his own ability. Maybe his coaches have told him to do this. We certainly aren't privvy to this. The irony of it all, is that we used to have a half back, and he was the biggest culprit of all time for this. YES, A HALF BACK.

Him being one of the first names on the team sheet isn't really worth shouting home about. It's not like we're blessed with great centres. There's a reason why Price wants to sign another centre.

I'd rather my centre be able to pass the ball than be a strong runner. Atkins is poor, dumb, he's greedy and he's a liability in defence.
