At the very least we can afford to have ashton on the bench now we know King can very ably allow a starting second row to have a rest. Just a little shuffle then with Ashton to wing and mamo or charnley to centre. Ashton has too much of a knack at being in the right place to miss out entirely. If we are chasing the game with 10 or 15 minutes to go I'd back him to get on the end of a break and finish it more than any other player in the current squad. He has to be involved for me, I always think we should have a back on the bench as well anyway really. Especially when we have 2 really adaptable and quality backs starting in King and ratchford.

This, ashtons young enough to get through this week, he has to play on Saturday and I for one would be gutted if he’s not involved at all.

ai'd love him to be on in the team but why risk him playing 2 full games in 3 days, it makes no sense. I know he's young and heals faster but i'd rather have him 100% fresh. He might not play tomorrow to be fair and i hope he doesn't, but if he does he won't be as fresh for Saturday.

All four teams due to play in the semi finals have made wholesale changes for tonight's games. Salford, having probably the smallest pool of players available, have been slightly limited in this respect. Wigan will lose to Saints (which would probably have happened anyway). Leeds will probably lose to Catalan although they could really do with winning. Either way, the fact that they are playing each other is good for us.

Right decision by Price and, should we pull off a win, it will be a fantastic bonus.
