| Hats-off to the Warrington public for creating a great atmosphere last night, in what was the best game of the WC so far. Voss needs to be signed-up by Sky...

| The way Vossy was treated during his fall out with that idiot Hadley was pathetic, especially when Voss is ten times the man and caller he ever will be.

You couldn't replicate that atmosphere for a Warrington match because we wouldn't be neutral.
If Warrington had been Samoa last night by half time the fans would have been booing, cursing, choosing which individuals to slag off, the only highlight would have been when that guy who whistles when the opposition make a mistake whistling at Sonny Bill.
If we'd have been New Zealand then the atmosphere would have gone flat once we opened up a big lead and the talk on the forums afterwards would have been "is Super League meaningless now", the atmosphere is flat, the only reason they got back in to the game is because we slacked off and gifted them some tries.

Well done to the blokes who got the singing going. Brilliant night.

| The phantom whistler seemed to be near us in the NE Corner last night & it sounded like he had an apprentice with him so we could have another one to listen to next season.
I thought , from that corner, the ground looked fantastic full to the rafters & i'm only too pleased Samoa started scoring or it would have been a long & quiet second half. It was great to see the game explode into life & give the amazing fans a treat. I hope the RFL have done some careful planning to get what will be lower attended games paired up with with smaller stadia so they mostly look full to capacity on tv.

| Sent an email this morning suggesting that the council looks into twinning with a town in Samoa. Think it would be a great way to ensure the World Cup has a long lasting legacy.

| Really enjoyed the choir supplying the pre-match - quality...
Brave and good decision to cover Pompeii by Bastille - it worked well. If anyone knows their leader and members - congratulations and praise is due..
The way most of the crowd got behind Samoa - just magic - and do remember there were thousands from outside Warrington joining in here!
Great stadium - perfect for rugby league - the game has spoken for itself - awesome..

| I think it'll be interesting now to see how further ticket sales develop after what was such an impressive start to the World Cup Competition.
The England performance against a superior-but-yet-to-get-going side, an impressive debut from the Italians (with a not too shabby Welsh performance), the closeness of the PNG / France duel and a wonderful advert for the game (and supporters) from NZ and Samoa will surely generate more interest in filling the terraces.
I am looking forward to the Fiji vs Ireland game tonight at Spotland as there is a large Fijian community based in Rochdale so support should be good there too. After last night's match, I wish I was going.
May look at getting to the Scotland vs USA game at Salford and quite fancy USA vs Wales at Wrexham.
If others are feeling like me, maybe we could get some more full houses and a great groundswell of interest in our game which could lead to more support for the national leagues?
I'm LOVING it !

The RLWC website crashed last night following the game. When it eventually got back up there was a queue to get onto the tickets page. I have been trying to ring the ticket hotline this morning but there is a message saying to call back later.
The competition has got off to a brilliant start, I can't wait to set off to Rochdale in a few hours!

| Genuinely still buzzing today. The SBW mistake and crowd reaction will live long in the memory for me. Great game, and a great night. The Samoan players also seemed genuinely appreciative of the support they were getting, even geeing the crowd up.

| I've just managed to get my world cup final tickets. I had to ring the RFL ticket line as the wc ticket line kept telling me to ring back later. I had to buy tickets in an area that the website said were not currently on sale so the final should sell out soon. If we can have more repeats of last night this World cup will be awesome.

| I can't add much to the comments about what a wonderful night it was and a lot of credit goes to everyone involved. great when there's a good bit of Rugby League news to report. But as someone who hasn't been able to see a replay on TV can anyone explain what happened with the Samoan try where Ganson reversed the video referee's decision? We weren't clear why it had been referred in the first place and were surprised by the "No Try" when it came

Uncle Alibert pressed the wrong button, and just for good measure pressed it again before finally getting it right

| Fantatsic match and a pleasure to be there. Even though the Kiwis were running away with the game in the first half there was some really big hits that kept the match alive. That second half was something else though. This is up there with the NZ v Tonga game but in different ways. There was a good report in the programme about the Tonga game in 1995. Well done to both teams and all who attended the game to make it a game to remember.

IIRC it was referred to the video ref to check for a foul on the NZ player and for a possible knock on. Video ref called it as a try. IT guy pressed the wrong button. Queried by Silverwood. Wrong button pressed again. Reconfirmed by TH. Right button pressed. At no point (as has been reported in some media reports) was the decision ever changed/reversed/overturned. It was simply that the wrong button was pressed (apparently exactly the same thing happened in the very first game where Vidtech was used)

| I was feeling quite sorry for myself with man flu before this game but what a game to get me over it, the ground was bouncing in the second half and the Samoans looked made up with the support.
Great game!!
