no, he signed a 3 year deal when he came over, only got announced as a two year for some reason, everyone is still getting in a tizz over it.

Yes, it's 'club trained'. And they need to be on our books for 3 years prior to them turning 21 ( ie still 21 on 1st November I think).

But the dispensation is only £5k per player, so its helpful, but not exactly an earth shattering bonus.

As indicated, it maybe thats there some additional changes for next year that we're taking advantage of, which we need to do, we had a small squad this year, and have let a fair few go. It needs a lot of padding out, and still a prop or two adding to the team.

True, the info I took from the rules was for the 2018 season, but yes, I remember that they agreed further changes during the course of the year. can't remember exactly what they were though, and similarly where they were published.

to be honest, i'd probably be intensely talking to hastings and drinkwater's agents with a view to getting them IF we can get brown to retire a la spider/joel monaghan in 2010, that way brown gets a full years pay off and it doesn't count on next years salary cap.

I have to say accidental or not that "dummy" by K Brown was exquisite, mush for brains as maybe. However Drinkwater may be exactly the sort of scrum half we need to go alongside our marquee signing. Would mean yet another half back partnership of course!

Hicks, Waterhouse (IMO was very good his workrate was unbelivable), Hiku, BMM, Hodgeson (well known quality player but never raved about really in SL till he came to us).

He won Man Of Steel in 2009 with Hudderfield in his first season.

Im not sure either BMM or Hodgson count as "under the radar" signings. And I'm not sure BMM qualifies as a "belter" just yet, although his try against Wakefield suggests there may still be something to come this season!
