Why is John Cooper-Clarke the face of the S2 Ultras?

I believe I said that I wished there was better support for Warrington home games, as there are many who just go to stand and read texts or talk through matches. I would embrace a more organized support at Warrington. However, the adoption of a hooligan name and the constant dick measuring and testicle showing that seems to emanate from Odem and, to a certian extent, you, I would not embrace. In the grand scheme of sport the 'Wigan Ultras' are small potatoes and in rugby league they are as vocal and fanatic as the 10 away fans Huddersfield get and the 2-5000 Away Warrington get. It is just you have flags and an inflated ego.

I do apologize about the numbers mistake though. I had heard from some that numbers were down a while ago. I don't venture into your board more than 1 or 2 times a month. I am glad to see it is a success and increased numbers and support is great for the sport. However, as much as I applaud the sentiment, the execution has left a lot to be desire from me, personally.

For a start, there isn't its made up of lads from the age of 16-45. As thats already been stated, them flags were situated about 13 rows down from the back of the stand so unless you can see through the banners you couldn't possibly see who's behind them on the picture.

As somebody has pointed out earlier on in this tedious thread, wire fans used to regurlarly outsing teams when we were getting a pasting. I've seen us get numerous beatings at the hands of wigan or saints, but the singing and atmosphere has always been good. In fact, the away end was rocking all the way through the night we got drubbed 80-0. I don't walk away from those games however, thinking 'wow we fans were great in there tonight'. I am more concerned about the result and it seems that certain wigan fans are only bothered about the atmosphere they create and if that's good then they can boast about that regardless of the scoreline. Anyway, for what it's worth Hull fans create the best atmosphere and salford's away support, however small, is as vocal as anyone else.

It's hard to generate an atmosphere against a team you know you're going to beat.

Shame you cant do it when it matters then isn't it. If you get chance to go to Manchester, Old trafford is the one with the 70,000 seats just off Sir Matt Busby way.

The flags on sticks are gay (especially the skull and cross bones one) but I quite like the flags across the top of the stand. Shame there's a lot just robbed from Man United fans though.

Wigan fans are getting confused with the Eurovision song contest. they get points for singing in that but NOT in Superleague.

For me it is always good to see people dedicated to raising the atmosphere, colour, noise and passion in the stands. What these Pie lads are doing is good.

However, I get the impression that they think they are the first people to ever do anything to ever improve any atmosphere anywhere and that they are the best and everyone else is some joke...and boy oh boy in typical Pie fashion do they like to make sure the whole world knows it "look at me, LOOK AT ME!" "how shiite are you, HOW SHIITE ARE YOU?!". It's quite annoying really. Why can't they just get on with what they're doing and enjoy it rather than ram it down people throats and getting kicks out of belittling others.

As someone else said earlier; for small numbers the Salford lads make as much noise as anyone in Super League (relative to how many are there), in full flow Leeds' South Stand is quite special (whether I like them or not), and Hull in front of a big crowd have the noisiest fans around...I don't see fans of their clubs ramming it down people's throats about how great they are and how everyone else is. But that just follows the trend Pie fans seem to have in every kind of conversation: trophies, success, stadium, crowd numbers, crowd noise, anything you'd care to mention...it's a serial and constant (and very tiresome) brag about it until everyone is bored to tears with them!
