| Makes me smile when Stevo comes out with his usual cowwhatsit about Moz nearing the end his career. The bloke is the best front-rower in the comp. Absolutely superb yesterday. Wonder if Scott Grix has recovered yet? He'll be suing Warrington council for being hit by the no.8 bus.

You can't have seen him play to come up with that statement.

Differant eras to be fair, Sir Les had no less skill, pace and toughness than Mozz but probably was not as fit. Loved to have seen them in the same team with Kevin Tamiti at 9, that would have been the best front row ever.

Don't agree with any of that but that's your opinion and I've got mine. Boyd's offload and attacking game were more than a class above any other front rower at the time. Yes he could have been fitter but the game was different then. Moz is a great player and does everything well, for me Les had that that bit of rugby genius that very few have. All round the best player I've seen in the P&B.

| I have to admit that I slightly favour Boyd as he was my boyhood hero, but that no way takes the edge off Morely. Both being outstanding players. The game is different now, so to compare is probably not very fair.
I just regard myself as being very lucky to have seen them both wear the Primrose and Blue for Warrington.
I still watch the 1986 Premiership Cup Final occasionally and regard it as one of my most cherished memories from that era. This only recently being surpassed with us winning the Challenge Cup last year – something I have waited over 25 years for…
Does anyone know where Sir Les is these days? I know he has appeared at the HJ from time to time…

| Can't decide which one is the best (does there have to be one). Boyd was a great ball player (probably to do with his 2nd row early years), it was just a pity he wasn't that tall. I remember being stood next to him in Time Square one night, thinking he was a midget (compared to other props in height). Boydy also new where the try line was.
Moz is a beast. I don't think I've ever seen a man of his age, drive the ball in as hard. At his current age, (imo) he's twice the player that Civenoceva (sp) or Webcke ever was.
Sideways point. If the Pies paid £400,000+ for Fielden to bring him out of contract at Bradford, what fee do you think Moz would have generated, if we'd bought him mid contract at the Roosters. Mr Moran would have been considerably lighter in the wallet

Back home in Cootamundra I believe. Still involved with their club to a degree. Hips and knees knackered.

Quite easily (imo). Just because they're Aussies, doesn't mean a GB player can't be better. Moz has stood up and been counted whenever and wherever he's played. More than can be said for some individuals.
I fully expect James Graham to be lauded to greater heights, when he reaches his "optimum prop age".
