I think there is an element of it, but at the same time the players should be aware they are effectively on a 12 month trial. |

One of the things I found strange was him admitting that Wire had not had enough pre-season games.
Surely it was his decision not to play senior players v Wigan, and not to have at least one more friendly.

A fact that couldn't be more true. We even had a game against Salford arranged until Hull KR took our place. |

Nonsense.
Smith might not have had a lot to work with, but his inability to even get the Saints and Leeds players to hang out with each other on the beach points to a coach who would have just as much difficulty breaking up the cliques that have always haunted our club. |
