Tautai on form is a strong powerful runner. I wouldn't say no at all to an on form Tautai.

Liam Marshall could find himself without first team action now Dom Man is back...and Tom Davis is better than Marshall.
He could be a prospect with Lineham looking like he'll be returning to Yarkshire in 12 months time....

I'm pretty sure the club haven't taken steps to lengthen Lineham's contract, whereas I think the club might be looking at nailing Charnley down with an extension very soon.
What Marshall lacks in Lineham's build he makes up with blistering speed.

Prop forwards that have left Wigan since about 2013 have not moved on and maintained or bettered their wigan form.

Maybe they were so passionate about playing for wigan that anything else is just a dissapointment.
It does appear strange that so many young ish props leave wigan at a young age and then cant replicate that level of performance.
It used to be that props got better with age.
I would prefer to give Tautai a miss. If somebody puts a hit on him he drops the ball every time it comes near him for the rest of that game.

I said this when we signed Crosby, he and most of their forwards props in particular aren't anything special, they just work very well in wigan's system.

Rather we keep hold of George King than get Tautai.

Since Kings departure was first thrown out there....his performances have arguably been most consistent near a higher level than any other prop. Imo

King was always pretty consistent. Never great but always solid, irrespective of the form of the team as a whole. Tautai is better at his best, but that doesn’t occur very often.

If there’s any Wigan prop available I’d have young Sutton. Plenty of promise.

I'd have Clubb as I would say the only ball playing prop in SL...plus Hamlin...every time I've sent him he's a terrific impact.

They are all decent but I can't see Marshall getting a start over Davis and Manfredi.
If we can get him coming to Wire it might suit both teams?

Marshall will be 4th choice I’d imagine but it is tough to say with a new coach coming in. It’s the amount of work Tom Davies gets through which would put him above Marshall for many Wigan fans. If fit I still think Manfredi and Burgess are our best two though so something may need to give.

Yes I'd say that's bang on.
Marshall can finish but lacks the rawness for an around player.

I keep coming on here hoping to see rumours of

1. Another quality half.
2 A quality centre.
3. Two big hard aggressive props.

Because that's exactly what we need.

2019 is going to be a strange season for Wigan, with so many departures and the odd situation of Lam coaching for a year. Kind of reminds me of Jimmy Lowes in the midst of Paul Cullen and Tony Smith.
