I hope the players are shouting at each other and arguing because most are letting a few who are actually putting effort in down big time, I suspect however that they're quiet and not communicating as usual. We need some voices to emerge and some of the senior players to stand up and quickly.

Change captain now, drop the biggest name who isn't following new direction/ the ringleader of that faction. Powell needs to stamp his authority on this group and form a team. Its clear that too many are refusing to adapt and go with the coach.

I think that the reset does start next year, and that's why a 2 year contract with us wouldn't work for hill.

I'm not saying it as it's our year next year but with 16 players out of contract it does seem there's a longer term vision in the squad which I thinks a positive step forward, and if we get recruitment right then it could be a quick turn around to be competing at the top. Truman and Johnstone are out of contract next year too ...

Whether it's the players, Karl Fitzpatrick, Powell or Wolfy's fault, it will be Powell who will lose his job should we be a candidate for relegation when we reach July.

He has to change the entire squads attitude and work ethic, especially in defence, as there's little he can do mid-season to change the personnel within it.
SM and the board cannot do much to bring in/move out players during the season, either, but they can change the coach. Whether that's fair, or not, the pressure is very much on DP at the moment.

He's had an off season to prepare these players. Either things have soured very quickly or there was resistance from the start and haven't already been stamped on, and neither of those options is a good look for anyone.

Absolutely, and the speed with which morale and attitude have nosedived suggests the latter, that they were not and are not onboard with the coaching staff.
