Leeds over 700K and average 15+K
Stains 180K and average 11K
Wire 200K and average 10K
Cas 40K and average 7K

I personnally think Cas do VERY well to average over 7K per game, considering your population is only 40K, I can't see how you'll ever average over 10K, i.e. over 25% of your population - therefore I doubt Cas will ever be classed as a big team, as you just won't earn enough revenue - not consistantly anyway!

The population of Cas might be 40k, but there's a lot of the fans come from Pontefract, Knottingly, Normanton etc, with the 40% increase like yourselves and Hull in the new stadium that would be just under 10k a game, not to mention Cas manage to get some of the biggest sponsorship deals in the league.

Oh and Saddened, saying Cas have no ambition is way wide of the mark

they are probably one of the most forward thinking clubs in the league and are always looking to grow and expand, apart from Shenton who left mainly because of the coach, the other young players are staying and I believe next year so far Cas will have the most English players in the squad, the majority of them from the local area.

Yep, at the time of signing Diggerland was the 3rd highest paying sponsor in the league behind Leeds building Society (Leeds) and P&O (Hull FC).

Next year a new sponsor is coming in which is apparently the biggest sponsorship in club history, which means it will eclipse jungle.com who were fantastic and Diggerland, which means it will be in the top 5 in terms of revenue.

If you can average 10K per game there's no reason you can't compete, especially if you get a good sponsor - I personnaly think the league is miles better now there's 4 or 5 teams up there, instead of just Leeds and Stains, or Stains and Bradford - so another one can only help the league!

I think Cas are an ambitious club who are just short of a bit of finance. If they could get 10k crowds or close to that then gate money would be top-notch and good sponsorship money would follow. Much as I enjoy the Jungle I look forward to visiting their new ground ASAP.

He's a pi55head with a gambling problem. TS isn't too keen on that sort of thing. Plus he's rubbish now anyway, and he's probably made this rumour up to get an improved deal at Cas. He's done something similar before.
