That was a disgrace. For me I think Tony Smith has had his time. Over the years he's done brilliantly winning back to back challenge cups and finishing top of the league and also reaching 2 grand finals. But now going into every game thinking it doesn't matter what score it will finish is the wrong mentality. I feel sorry for the people who have paid money to go over there and they get that. It's not good enough. For me I think we need a change.

Listening to the commentary it seems we turned over too much cheap ball ,& didn't do many quality kicks ,while allowing Cas to make good yards on most of their sets. But you can't take anything away from what Daryl Powell has done by turning a side without superstars into a very good team, who did just what HKR did to us last week ,beat us by teamwork.

It is hard to single out players today when the whole side were pretty poor. However, ratchfords performance(both in attack and defence)had me yearning for the days of watching Adam Doyle playing at stand off for us.

There is a big problem with the wire fm microphone equipment. I worked as a commentator for Radio General one time. I think they both use the same system. Its consists of a box with a omnidirectional mic which is set at a level so it can be shared. The problem is that it means all the background sounds get shared too.

Whereas the BBC use outdoor broadcast mics that presses up against the mouth of each presenter and are set with a very low sensitivity.

Awful viewing yesterday. I think Evans playing Centre after being on the wing all season didnt help his positioning. Which also made joel have a shocker.

Ratchford was the problem down that side for the entire game. His decision making in defence(or lack of it)was abysmal and caused problems for evans and joel. He was no better with the ball in his hands either. Still not convinced where his future lies because he is being shown up as a halfback by o'brien(who is no great shakes, but does the basics ok), he plays poorly when he has been at centre and it doesn't look like he'll get a run at full back(as we all assumed he'd take over from hodgson)now that russell is here.

I wonder if the loss of form of some of our players has been fostered by the prospect of more money elsewhere. Just a thought but, as we all know from experience, it would not be the first time.
