What a thoroughly depressing topic which is a perfect summary of our season so far. I can’t see him being sacked but I’m sure the Board must be as twitchy as we are.

Only one of Powell's signings has made a real impact. His inconsistent and baffling selection policy leads me to think for the first time that he must go. There are clearly issues of which we are unaware and one player says the club is not a nice place to be. I am confident we won't be relegated but he should still go.

When Jason Clark(an average player, but a top professional)doesn't rate the coach, its time to pull the plug and hopefully save us from the unthinkable!

Doesn't look like he's getting sacked but even if we stayed up I've seen absolutely nothing from him coaching wise to retain him and give him a chance with a better squad next season.

I couldn't care less about Ryan Sheridan, POWELL is the problem and when he does get sacked he can take all of his team with him.

I think Wigan may be DP's last outing for us. Unless the board are happy to play Russian roulette with the clubs future and their huge personal investment a coach change has to happen soon.

Absolutely not. Neither are "bad apples". Their form might be on the floor right now along with probably most of your squad but they're not bad people at all and good around the changing rooms. Both are v professional. Not that it makes your predicament any easier to accept.

Powell has a great pedigree for getting the best out of players, many players becoming much better than even they anticipated. So what’s the problem….
From supporting the team from the Dessie and Foz days, it is apparent we do not have a strong leader on the pitch… someone who gets the best out of his teammates - like Moz used to do… look at Stains they demoted Jon Wilkin and promoted Roby for that very reason. Chris Hill never inspired others around him.
We need a player in the pitch who can grab the likes of Toby King and absolutely blast him for that service station stunt ( if true ).
Powell inherited an overpaid squad of players of players who believed their own hype - and they created a toxic environment.
Give Powell next season, give McGuire the captaincy and give more result incentivised contracts.

The problem, as I see it, is that Powell isn't getting the best out of anybody, as we look the furthest away from a tight knit team, that is willing to work for each other, that I've seen. There's something very, very wrong within our club as were heading for played 27 won 7 lost 20.

I would expect the board will be far from happy at where we are.
