I must say, some posts are quite cringeworthy. I had my laugh at the final score, as I'm sure you lot did last week (and probably will next week!) my friends have been given some stick, but thats just banter between friends.

I get ashamed for them that when they list their honours and they include the War Years......decent teams like Warington and Widnes stopped competing in the war years as their players were off fighting germans...Wigan however carrried on and were allowed to take all the best available non serving players and win some more competitions.....

Let's put this straight now.

Wigan have been the most consistent team in the regular season. They finished top and deserved too, and they were the best team I saw us play at the HJ this season. I wouldn't begrudge them a Grand Final win. Some of their fans are utter tools and need to have a look at themselves, as do some of ours. I also know a lot of thoroughly decent Wigan fans too.

We (Warrington) have had a good season in all; challenged for top spot for most of the season, and retained the challenge cup for the first time in our history. We failed in the play off's with two pretty poor performances, it's happened, i'm annoyed with it now, but i'll also get over it.

Saints, Leeds, and Huddersfield have hit form at the right time and also deserve to be where they are now.

It's as easy as that.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the team that finished top this season have to break the rules a few years back to actually stay in this league??

It doesn't really matter now. Wigan were given the punishment deemed fit by the governing body and remained in Super League. They've finished top this season by following the rules and being the best team.

1991 CC Final was St Helens v Wigan. I should know i was there. Warrington didn't get there that year.
