| Warrington with some strong and hard hitting defence, not bad on attack but we needed to work from deep quite a bit.
The ref kept Bradford in it really with the penalty count going hugely in their favour.

| I'd recommend anybody to go down and watch both the Acadamy and Reserves this year.....the club is putting in some really solid foundations.
I've been particularly impressed with the way young Gareth O'Brien is steering the ship (for both Acadamy and Reserve team). Reminds me very much of a young Lee Briers in that he has a slight frame, superb distribution and quality kicking game..........keep healthy young man!

| Watched the game today, good result for the young wire... thought they made it hard for themselves at times, mistakes and penalties etc.
Great performances from laithwaite and crowley, lomax and rhys evans played well.. o'brian good but a bit quieter than usual..
Didnt think much of bradfords young burgess lads (george, tom).
Expected them to stand out... Thought bradfords no. 10 lillycrop had a good game...

| Thought lads played well today. All lads mentined did play well, thought O'Brien played well, as mentioned, scored ten of the 26 points so dd well for team as did others, so didn't feel he was so much as quiet as didn't get the ball as much as usual due to lack of possession in first half. The team made the possession count when they had the ball though. Though Crowley had a good game.

| Looks like we are building a solid foundation with the accedemy & reserves which will hopefully feed through to the first team.
One of the big strengths of Leeds & Saints in recent years has been the number of good youngsters coming into the first team from the youth set up

| I have posted my reply quite late, but been trawling the forum for interesting posts. I went to see this game and thought it was a superb game. I though the forwards dominated and was pleased with the backs. The number 7 Gaz O'Brien, played superbly and at 17 shows real promise. I have heard he is not quiet at all on the pitch and communicates well, its good to see young talent being given an opportunity. THey totally outplayed Leeds in every department. I think they will make the playoffs and be a real threat to those who play them. Well done.

| No not a family member. I have watched reserves and academy for years as well as first team and like to see talent be recognised as I hope any one would. Just feel its important we support young talent, as I though you would want to do the same.

| not worth commenting on getting silly.....as already said, watch reserves and academy regulary and have mentioned several players not just one. Find it a shame that you cannot discuss the game and those putting themselves on the line...If you want to talk about that happy to chat. I find the reserves and academy more interesting than first team at moment as do alot of people do and new talent like O'Brien and Crowley, Laithwaite, Hurst and Murphy who i have mentioned several times also are worth talking about, would rather talk positively, rather than negtively as some people have about Penny on the site.. You will find I have only followed others peoples thread.
Do you have anything to say about the game and players in it, afterall isn't that what we are on here to discuss

| I can only assume you don't watch the players or the games as you don't seem to want to talk about youth development and players coming through of which we are short of at this club. St Helens and Leeds are a fine example with thier successful youth development programme, maybe more of you should take an interest and attend games, instead ofty discussing unimportant and silly issues. Surely you as wire fans can see how important our youth develpment system is...look at how well the saints have done and Leeds with the young players they have been able to bring through...thats why I come on this forum, to see how people think things are improving from that point of view at the club.

| I also went to watch the Junior acadamy on Saturday and was very impressed. Don't know the names but the stand-outs for me were the full back, the blonde haired winger, the prop (icon_cool.gif and the 2 second rows who must have made 30 takles a piece. Loose forward i though was good in defence but would like to see him link up more in attack. Number 7 was good for 20mins then got a good thump and never saw him involved again. Reserve my judgement on him if he goes quiet after every knock thats won't be good.
Overall first class performance and worth a watch next week at home to Huddersfield i believe.

To be fair on the 7 (O'Brien) he got 'filled in' good style putting a kick up and the way the physio was signalling it was the end of the match for him, but fair do's he eventually got up and played the ball and then went on to play for another hour..... a tough hombre I'd say!
To be fair to you Fletch I've seen him play through service area down the years but what really opened my eyes was when he totally ran the show for the reserves when we panned Leeds a few weeks back....given a clean bill of health he could be very very good indeed.
