| To be fair we haven't missed George King but I'd take him back now. He has developed nicely, to be fair he was coming along well with us.

When he was released to move on, he was in the best form of all the then current props.

| Quote ="Mighty_Wires88"I’m hopeful we’ve got someone lined up, be abit unfair to be using Longstaff as a middle battering ram next year which we’ve seen a couple times this year. Although he deserves a spot in the 17.
Hill, Sita and possible JClark leaving with only Harrison coming in so far as a middle. But he’s likely to miss most of next year due to injury… we are crying out for a top class prop.
Philbin, Cooper, Mulhern, Butler, Doro, Harrison (inj) - long term injury to either Cooper or Philbin and we are chalked.'"
Bullock has signed.

| Kane Evans is being offered to Super league, with the Warriors willing to pay part of his wage aswell. 6'6 and just shy of 18st, bit of a bad lad reputation and got a 5 match ban this year for fighting.
Could be the aggressive enforcer we need, and Powell calmed down Watts and got the best out of him, so we'll wait and see

In hindsight, the milder on-discipline of Hill and Cooper has been ample costly enough, is it wise to go down the angry route?

| Talking of angry props ... that HKR fatty ... Vete (hope he is not behind me). He is one dangerous man. If he is fit enough to "play" vs. Cats he will never stay on the pitch. Hope he turns out. I know he is useful 2 yards from the line but he is one angry man (who cannot run any more) ... and it usually ends in tears. I was thinking should you run at him, to get the penalty, but then I came to my senses ... keep away he's mad.
He might have one more game ever in him ... oh hell! I will watch with great interest v Cat.

Im assuming the disciplinary will have banned him following his moments of madness.

| Have it on good authority that Wire have £60k wages per year left in the kitty to sign a prop.
Powell needs to find a bargain.

If its true and we have £60k left, best keeping our powder dry to see if anything moves in the NRL / SL and we can do our magic sombrero trick, move a couple on loan and get someone in.

| Is this 60k pre or post Bullock signing? I'd rather have a "better" prop rather than 2 x 60k props

| So at the moment we presumably have Cooper and Mulhern as starting props in 2022. Then (assuming Bullock has signed) 2 from the following 4 on the bench - Bullock, Philbin, Butler & Doro.
Cooper is great and Mulhern has impressed me this season. He should improve again next year. It's the bench options that worry me - Philbin hasn't really kicked on for me this year, Bullock is like Sita according to Wigan fans, jury is still completely out on Butler, and Doro, while willing, is inexperienced and a little small. Doesn't fill me with confidence really. Can't understand the lack of quota players either - seems like a waste unless there really is nothing out there worth having.

| I wonder whether that includes Jason Clark staying/ leaving?
If it includes him staying I'd rather put his wage towards a new prop and add 60k to it, that would then be a total of around 500k according to a reliable source in st Helens.

Yes, I think Cooper & Mulhern starting, rotating with Philbin and Bullock on the bench. Hughes @ 13 rotating with Clark. I assume Harrison and Butler to provide cover, although Harrisons injury was a tough one. I was hoping Bullock would assume a 5th prop position, from what I have seen, he isn't good enough to be playing every week (although not many have under Lam and Wigans use of their props has always been strange).
We need Philbin to really step up and get back to his 2019(?) form.

| We are so short in the front row department it’s not funny. I’d be amazed (and disappointed) if we’ve not got a big body with a big “name” coming in after November 1st. Kane Evans maybe….

Quite. I was hoping that J. Clark's wages might be used with those of Hill to secure a top prop.

| Bullock announced he has left Wigan 4 or 5 days ago, strange that he hasn't signed yet if he is indeed on his way, unless contracts run until the end of October or something?

| If you thought this year was bad....if we don't sign a bloody good prop forward for next season...its going to be even worst. Ideally we need 2.
