I think the opposite. GI is rightfully more greedy than that.

| At his interview put a replica of the Super League trophy on the table and a meat and potato pie and say if you were marooned on a desert island and could only take one of these which would it be.

We're all eaters of pies in the North West, from Preston down to Chester at least. The pies that Wiganers are fond of eating is the humble pie when they crossed the picket line and went back to work.

Don't mention it to a Wiganer though, they don't take too kindly to it.

I’d rather be a pasty than a pie.

| I see Daryl Powell has just announced he’s leaving Cas at the end of the year.
Coincidental timing? Or is he Wire bound?

| Always felt weird really liking a Wire coach in Price.
It won’t be an issue with Powell Biggest moaner in the game but he could get you playing some unbelievable rugby.

| The Powell rumour seems to be more than a coincidence, with Price leaving Wire in the same timescale.
Very surprised, given how so many posters on here were confident that Wane was to be appointed as our new Coach.

| Wait for the "i always knew it was Powell, but couldn't say as my source would be in trouble" posts..
I have no idea who will be our next coach (for the record).

I'd imagine those posts will follow all the ones slagging off Powell and Castleford for the timing of the announcement.
Is Adrian Lam just on a 12 month contract at Wigan?

I believe Lam is only contracted until the end of this coming season.

| Powell is one if the more accomplished British coaches currently. He has developed Cas into a good team on limited resources, he should be able to improve with better training and financial resources available. The main concerns I have are for some reason many Yorkshire players and coaches find it difficult to perform as well on t'other side of the hill and also as pointed out by others he is a miserable bugger, especially after a loss. Whether he joins us remains to be seen, if he does I hope he gets us to the highest level and his miserable face will be rarely seen.

| If he brings Jake Trueman with him, it'll make it a little easier to swallow. I don't feel confident at all of grand final succes under Powell.

Why Moe?
At Cas despite being a miserable so and so he has developed a very attractive team battling with the so called big boys with what I would imagine to be relatively meagre finances certainly compared to ours. We have been crying out for a coach who can develop players and play a more attractive style of rugby. He just could be the man. With us potentially losing both our halfbacks at the end of this season if he were to bring Truman with him to partner our young rising starlett.....
I just think our crop of very promising youngsters need a coach who can bring them on and for me Powell could fit the bill.

| Maybe Wane to us and Powell to Wigan/Leeds.
Maybe half time tonight we may know.
I for one would prefer SW.

| I can’t see Powell coming to us at all. The main ill feeling seems to be between him and Wane as much as anything but he seems to dislike Wigan even more than our fans dislike him. I’m sure Lenagan and Radlinski will have their eyes on coaches movements but Lam will get time to nail another contract.

| The official line from Cas is that both parties agreed on the split in 2020. In which case, doesn’t that make the coincidence circumstantial?

hmm, not sure i agree with that, one of the things levvied at powell is that he's not(similar to price) trusted his juniors too much.
Bare in mind trueman was someone they got when bradford went breasts vertical. As was alex foster. Actual cas juniors have been used sparingly.
