I thought at least Brown had some impact unlike our marquee signing that was out shone by some Saints 21 year old prospect. Absolute waste of space so far. I was giving him time to settle but we are seeing next to nothing. It would be acceptable if he was trying things and they were not quite coming off at least you could see some hope but nothing absolutely nothing is unacceptable. If he is another of those Aussie wussies missing home then just get rid.

I’ve yet to see the guy make a break.Once it’s in his hands it’s either kicked or passed as soon as he’s got it.Bit of creativity + passion is all we want but that it seems has been well + truly left back down under.

Every one of our half backs has stunk the place out so far. Whether it's apathy, incompetence, lack of fitness, lack of ability or a combination thereof none of them have shown anything whatsoever apart from the occasional ability to kick to the corners.

I'm still in the Roberts canp to be fair as i know what he can do, first game he had some good touches and made a great break which led to Atkins "try to fly" touch down failure.
2nd game it was the same in some great touches and a great break..........But at the moment i don't even realise he's on the field nost of the time.
Got my fingers crossed and i'm still backing him,as we actually do have a great squad but sooooo many errors it's pretty pathetic. Get the crappy school boy errors cut out and i think we'll do some damage

Well all this talk of him playing better when the weather improves, the ground getting firmer etc, Catalan next week provides an opportunity. I'm not convinced it's anythjng other than fitness but we'll see.

Wouldn't other teams improve with better weather too?....

Good weather helps a newly formed side try a few passes/moves etc. with more confidence. If there is a mis-timing of the pass then there is a higher chance of re-gathering the ball again in dryer conditions.

Also, I'm fairly certain that a recovering knee injury, in the case of Roberts, will be better supported on dryer ground and therefore, hopefully, Roberts will run with more confidence.

Remember, we were only 8-6 down at half time and well in the contest until the last quarter. I'm in the 'be patient/positive' camp and believe things will turn around soon-ish with less mistakes and easier opposition to try ouar new tactics and game-plan out.

Perhaps vented frustration helps influence change for us to be optimistic...rather than being happy clappers and condescending.

At least when Sandow first came over and struggled to make an impact, you could at least see flashes of brilliance which made you think "yeah, this guys got something about him".

Not seen anything from Roberts other than 1 break and a few pinpoint kicks... If might take a while to get the combinations going but he could at least take the line on ffs.

You can't have a Hb on his salary who doesn't take on the line waste of marquee salary

Matty Smith is sat twiddling his thumbs at Saints, he'd at least be an improvement.

I'd be inclined to offload Brown before Roberts though first

I normally like a good moan about players but i'm just not seeing the need to for Roberts yet. If you want him to take on the line he needs options and decoy runners to draw away the opposition. We haven't got that in the squad . I haven't seen Hughes, King, et al run a decent line. What you don't want your half back doing is taking drives up the middle because no-one is running the angles . For me it's too early to write him off, the squad still has a hang over from the last regime and it's going to take time for the new systems to bed in.

Thats funny. Patton gets slagged off rotten because he doesn't take the line on. He doesnt get dummy runners either so is he now excused?

But we know roberts CAN do it....he may never for us but he is capable unlike Patton. Barba and sandow were gash in their first 5\6 games until they sorted their fitness out but their ability was never in doubt and neither is Roberts. I must admit he's beginning to test my patience but I think we need to give him a little longer.
