Ben Currie is not often associated with the role of prop forward.

I'm not going to trawl through the comparative stats to either prove, or disprove a point here, but, in Curries case he's never been used as a prop and in fact not always been in the back row having a go at Centre and SO on the odd occasion, if I'm not mistaken.

Further, and this applies to any club's youngsters even yours, its also about consideration to frequency, a run of playing games then rest and the level of opposition that these young lads are asked to play against? You have to rely on the coaching staff getting this part of the equation right as I'm sure that most lads once they've broken through into the 17 don't always want to stand down, particularly from a winning team where they might have to rely on the misfortunes of a 'Grix' to get back in, (something you might be happy with but one presumes Currie isn't).

Neither was Chris Tuson - but it didn't stop his name being brought in as evidence.

To be fair the argument about Ben Currie playing more rugby than the Wigans chaps isn't that clever....he may have had more appearances but he hasn't played more rugby!!!

Ben Currie has done very little in most of the games he has played this season he is the most disappointing "next big thing" I have ever seen.
