Slight tangent but as this thread is about clothes it looks like Wigan have signed some sort of deal to promote "fashion" website Jacamo:-

Presumably this is part of their move away from trying to move away from selling their "fashionable clothes" from large, pub type blokes and more towards the upwardly mobile man about town. Jacamo I mean, not Wigan.
Steering back toward topic, there's more training gear in the shop than there is on the website if anyone is interested. I'm in town on Friday, might nip in and get some. And when I say might I mean, I absolutely will. |

I had a booklet arrive in the post on Friday with a big image of the Wigan Warriors range on the cover. Thought someone was taking the at first, as the cover letter had my name and address on it!
Anywhoo, has anyone bought off Jacamo before? Don't intend to buy the Wigan stuff, but the Mrs keeps complaining I wear old clothes (that still fit and aren't worn out yet, so why should I?) |

It's funny that a shop for fat b*stards have chosen to advertise using representatives of St Helens (Jonny Vegas) and now Wigan as well. We just need someone from Widnes now to complete the set (I was trying to think of an example to use but I literally can't think of a single famous person from Widnes).

Generally most people will say they are from the place they grew up in; say from ages 6-14. My missus was born in Liverpool and moved out when she was around five. She'd always say she was from Widnes though.
Mel C went to infants in Runcorn and then juniors and high school in Widnes so she must have moved out of Rainhill at a very early age. Reading a couple of interviews with her, she seems full of .
It's a good job nobody's monitoring internet access at work. Imagine being caught searching for Mel C facts. |

He lived on Sylvan Avenue in Timperley throughout his childhood (which is round the corner from me). John Squire lived on the same road. Lots of both of their families still live around Timperley now, Ian Brown's cousin is married to the son of one of my neighbours and another cousin of his is us a mutual friend of one of my mates. I think he might have been born in Warrington but that's about it. |
