Atkins may not have been at his best last night, but he's still one of the best centres in SL. I am not complaining that Watkins is in over him (I'd have him at Wire in a flash), but it's the likes of Welham being picked ahead of him that was wrong in my opinion. He's had 1 bad game, lets move on and have him bag a couple against Wakefield next week.

atkins didnt do himself any favours last night, he should have just played his normal game instead of trying to hard to prove a point, he is by far the best english centre in the super league, just needs to play how he plays ever week and not try to hard.

Agree. I thought last night that our centre Watkins was better than Atkins but personally Watkins and Atkins would be my England centres.
And welham is showing how poor he is in defence tonight. He has paper defence against Bradford, just imagine what the aussies would do to him

Glad it's not just me that's confused at the Hood love fest. Sure he's a good prospect but Hemmings is going to have to make his commentaries 18 rated if he gets a bigger hard on for the young Leeds hooker.

You have to remember that, despite having commentated on the game for years, Hemmings still bases his assessment of players entirely on how many tries or goals they get. I remember him fainting over Steve Tyrer back in the day, Jamie Foster last season.

Atkins was naff last night, I think he's one of the people who benefits more than others from the work of Hodgson in particular and Monaghan.

TBH, I'm struggling to understand the panic of certain players rellying on other players. So what? Hodgeson, Monaghan and Solomona are influential players and when we have the team TS wants out there and everyone who should be selcted is fit and ready to play, we'll wipe the floor with everyone (including Leeds, Wigan and Saints) like we did last year.
