I'm glad I'm not now legging it to Castleford train station for the 22.05 to Leeds (missing it would get me back to Manchester about an hour and a half later - I checked) but I am regretting the decision not to go a bit. It would have been a lovely Friday night in Cas and a great win.

I'm peeved that it was moved as me and the old lady was going to go, but I understand why they had to move it what with Cas playing on Wednesday.

Gutted McGuire put it on the floor before he kicked though. Our only realistic hope of being top after next weekend is Wigan struggling to cope with the demands of the extra match midweek, and I don't see them mismanaging it. Tonight was a great chance for someone to take the points off them and they came through.

You could just about make it, but only just. I got back in about 10 minutes when we played there, then stood around miserable in the rain cause my train got cancelled.

wigan were poor tonight...... very surprised at how they played.

wigan are poor at defending out wide sometimes.... charnley, as good as he is with ball in hand, is an idiot when it comes to defending..... he is without a doubt a massive weak link.

To be fair, I thought their sliding defence was outstanding in the second half.

The difference this season is that when Wigan play poorly, they still win. Warrington lose (Salford, Catalans, Hull)

Wigan have dropped points to Catalans & Castleford too though. According to Smith, we were very ordinary last night and won 48-18.

I like it! When everyone says Wigan are unbeatable they are made to look average. I know we are better than them this year and that should be reflected in the results.

Well seeing as they've been beaten, they're not unbeatable.

No mate. I was near the front. I saw the Cas fan in the Cas top standing on the bricks at the side of the stadium after the match.

Made a cracking atmosphere in the second half.

Not helped by Joel inside him either. When you play a 2nd row + centre wider than they are used to, they'll naturally drift inside.

No I meant they certainly looked dominant after Saints and then destroying Hudds. They looked really good. Last night they should have been beaten. If it wasn't for inept officials you'd be looking down the barrel of a must win against Wire.

I know how good Wigan are and can be but I think Wire can match them this year and I'm not used to thinking Wire can beat anyone before.
