| Still feels surreal us keeping on winning like this, it feels like 93/94 season where we are outperforming expectations but not getting ahead of ourselves. We are in a better position now than we were then because there is no obvious powerhouse like Wigan were in those days and its a playoff system, I think we need to have some luck with injuries now, if we keep our players fit then we should finish top 3 and be very serious contenders in the playoffs. Think the Challenge Cup might be a fair shout again, I think it will take a good side to beat us so we should be heading for the semis at least. Wouldn't be surprised for us to make one of the two finals.

| Very, very odd, isn't it? Every week I think it's all going to go wrong. The two losses are already forgotten.

| Firstly, no more than 700 fans IMO and that's probably generous.
Secondly, I didn't see Steve Ganson drop any balls or miss any tackles.
Thirdly, brilliant pressure in the second half down Hull's left hand side. We really stacked in down that channel and wore them down, until they finally cracked and leaked a few late tries.
The only negative: Their try from the scrum was too easy. Basic Loose forward play there would have put a halt to the move.

| I must say I was impressed. Both sides played very well and if Long hadn't limped off it would have been interesting to see what happened when we had a spell of pressure in the second half as there was a point when I really thought we could have won it but we just couldn't break you down. Your forwards were very strong, but I thought our guys put up a real good fight, Manu in particular was throwing his weight around. Really enjoyable game.

Players seemed to have an issue with that but I missed it - were they arguing for a forward pass or that the try scorer didn't pack down? If it's the latter they're having a laugh, LF never packs down these days . RL scrums are like a cross between an orgy and a play the ball - legs and arms everywhere, much huffing and puffing but sooner or later, the ball just pops out with little or no fuss and everyone walks away feeling slightly foolish.

| Don't you think the feeling this season from the fans is one of very very cautious optimism? Almost as if Warrington being Warrington we are waiting for it all to go tits up at some stage & when it continues not to we have a kind of bemused look on our faces. It seems we've got to the stage now where opposition fans, coaches & players are recognising that we are on the verge of something special, but the club are being professional about it & the fans (mostly) are being much the same & simply enjoying the ride. After winning the cup last year, obviously we want a repeat this or the big vase at the end of the season, but it's like we don't quite believe ourselves how well we are going at the minute...

| It seems surreal that we have made such a transistion, in relatively short space of time. It is even more ridiculous when you consider how rank poor we were at the beginning of last season.
This same group of players are producing consistent, quality displays that it is difficult to believe it is a Warrington side. Ourselves and consistencey are not bedfellows.

| I think Sally is right. I also think that only one of Saints and Leeds will get to one of the finals. That has got to be good for the game and shows the salary cap is doing its job. A couple of years ago Saints went on a 23 game unbeaten run, I cant see that sort of winning streak happening now.
No team is able to cope with 5 or 6 first teamers out for any length of time. Touch wood that we will stay healthy.
We have a very tough trip to Hull KR next weekend and I am not very optimistic. Only due to the fact that I reckon the odds must be stacked against any team winning the two games over easter and the killer game the following week. I dont know who Wigan have got next week and unless it is quins then the will do well to get another "W".

| Wigan are at Salford next week so that should be another W against their name. It's important we win next week to keep pace, especially with Saints playing Quins. Thing is to stay where we are we should be confident of going to the tricky grounds & winning, such as the KFC or New Craven Park - Saints, Leeds & Bradford all used to come to Wilderspool/HJ full of confidence to win and we should be taking the same approach...

That statement/summary has to be the feeling for 99.9% of Warrington fans right now. The 0.1% are the kids not old enough to know better, or those too old to know better.

It's why I'm quite happy to stay in second place too. Let Wigan have the pressure and let their fans get carried away. Read the thread "Dip" on their forum.

| Thoroughly enjoyed the game yesterday, despite the result. It was a tough match with plenty of big hits and played at a leg sapping pace. Your quality told in the end and you desrved the victory. Games don't come much better IMO it was hard but fair, it's what RL should be all about.

Exactly, he has re-built our defensive structures and seems to have developed most (if not all) of each players individual ability.
