Carvell shouldn't get a ban Fozzard has gone into every tackle in his career the same way if not worse and nobody ever questions him so why start on Carvell ! More a case of the Cas player going in awkwardly !
Moz was late maybe get a warning committed to the tackle imo and couldn't have pulled out if he wanted to , also hit the back of the shoulder 1st warning letter would be harsh imo !

Nothing in the Carvell incident for me. Just covers himself for the impact, no malice involved. I would expect him to get a warning and no more.

The conditions didn't exactly help a bloke stopping at full tilt, with a smaller bloke ducking.

No swing in the arm, and if you watch carefully, Morley follows the ball as soon as it changes direction. A lazy challenge, Yes, but not a malicious one.

I couldn't confidently say either way. Personally I hope both are there against Wigan for a better match, and taking it case by case like children ("well such and such did this!"icon_wink.gif doesn't really work as the RFL don't understand the meaning of precedent, and saying it's rugby not wendyball isn't really poinient either as that is just a promotion of thuggery which puts people off the game, and also tends to be incredably hypocritical. Interesting to see how it goes, but overall like I said I wouldn't be suprised to see nothing done, and equally if they both got 2+ match bans.

If the RFL go through every game and can instigate fines, bans that just undermines the work of the ref and linesmen what it the point in giving the ref the choice of putting the players on report or not if they are going to review games anyway plain stupid

Equally we could say the refs are only human, and nobody can hide from the camera, and justice can be served. Its like not arresting someone because the Police Officer hadn't seen it.

Really can't believe the fuss about the Morley tackle. He flew out of the line and was comitted to the tackle. His arm wasn't high at all and Sherwin was at a wierd angle as he'd passed it that second.

I think that if Morley had intended to take him out then Sherwin wouldn't have gotten up.

When does the panel who decide whether a player should be sited or not sit?

Morley shouldn't get a ban, Jason Hooper got away with the same thing for years. As for Carvell, i don't think there was any malice, he looked like he was just trying to bump him off, it looked worse than it was, when slowed down on the replays.

If one of them did get banned though, i'd rather it was Carvell, as Moz always seems up for it against Wigan, and he always hammers Fielden with a big hit.

Agreed, if Moz does get a ban, the happiest person in Wigan will be S Fielden! if Morley isn't playing, i can see it lifting Fielden and him having a decent game.

They usually give it out sometime on the monday when people are in front of the panel on a tuesday, should find out sometime today who is up. Just been reading the definitions of each incident and from what I saw Morley would be looking at either a reckless or malicious strike to the head Grade C, which carries a ban of 1-4 matches and Carvell would be looking at reckless or malicious striking to the head with forearm or elbow whilst in possession of the ball, also a grade C so also a ban of 1-4 matches. 1 or 2 games for each of them would be deserved in my opinion.

Both will probably be banned imo. For me Mozzers was a nothing challenge but Carv's was pretty poor use of the forearm. He approached Jackson with his arm in the correct position then moved it to a 90 degree angle and used it to clobber him.
If Moz gets a ban it will be for one of two reasons. 1. It's Morley 2. We play the Pie munchers on Saturday. It'll be even better to beat them at the HJ (again) with them missing.

I'd rather someone jabbed me with their ball carrying arm whilst lying on the floor than take a 10 metre run up and swinging arm me in the side of the head after the ball has gone.
