Best ever has to be Brian Bevan, although I never saw him play. Best I've seen has to be a very young Bobby Fulton (who was actually born in Stockton Heath, saw isn't really an import).

Allan Langer for me, unfortunately too young to have seen the likes of Les Boyd.

Nigel Vagana was brilliant in his one season for us as well, a few years later he was rated one of the best centres in the game.

i thought vagana had more than 1 season withus, may be wrong?

I did indeed, however if you look closely at the list Ditch, it's a team. Much as I admired Nikau, I wouldn't want him in the centre or on the wing and I'm afraid I preferred Jacko, Davidson and Shelford in the back 3.

Just had a look on Ruben Wikipedia because my memory is a bit hazy.

He only played one season for us in '97, but finished that year as Super League's top tryscorer.

Im only 16 so this is just the players ive seen, but personal favourites were,

-Darren Burns- Gave nothing less than 100%
-Alan Langer- Class act
-Nathan Wood- He was awesome

sir les closely followed by lord alfred langer.

It is not his fault that he busted a gut...virtually won us the Lancashire Cup on his own, yet Warrington bizaarly still didn't offer him a contract.
I think Warrington won something like 12 games unbeaten then Mackey was offered a contract by Hull, and Warrington then lost the next 10 games on the bounce!

In my years it was Langer... obviously ha ha.

Anyone remember him? Awesome Aussie second rower. Played in the glorious 73/74 season. I think his last game was the 74 CC final.

The First overseas player I saw would have Been Roby Muller who came across with another kiwi...Wayne poutama... who never played for the first team.....

then following them would have been the amazing Pat Poasa


Boyd and Blake were my Favourites by some distance though...

Roby was a real high effort guy who always appeared to be playing with some injury or other - with a bit more talent he would have been a world beater.

Poasa was a big, big man - remember talking to him in Fiesta a few times when I worked there, top bloke.

What about Don 'Mad Dog' Duffy? Completely clueless but in a strange way brilliant. He always made me laugh.

Seriously Les Boyd has to be our best import since Brian Bevan but Bob Jackson wasn't far behind him IMO. Both fabulous players for us. From the last few years Nat Wood and Graham Appo would be my choice.
