As in the forum? May well do. But those things usually turn farcical.
Could have been tons of things to 'celebrate' arrival of Smith but i suppose head were kept down incase it brought in another false dawn.
Any ideas can always be sent free will to the club. However many just don't feel like it would be worth it and don't bother. Because they believe they are not listened to.

| Bring a wolf and get in free.
My wife was going on about buying a pet so i suggested getting a wolf. She said a sensible compromise would be getting a dog that looked like a wolf and filing its teeth down ino points.

| Quote ="lister"Warrington Bank Quay, Warrington Central, Bus Station etc. should all mention home of Warrington Wolves and/or a poster with information also as mentioned by someone earlier in the topic all the Welcome to Warrington signs should mention the club.
Supermarkets, gym's etc. should display posters for the next game instead of just targeting pubs like we do at the moment. It's a family game so not everyone will see those posters at the moment.
Use social networking like Facebook more, at the moment the clubs Facebook hasn't had an update for a month and yet there's 5,511 fans and the potential for more to always join. It's a free way to get messages across.
We have also got to get the kids at an early age supporting Wire before they start supporting teams like Saints just for the glory supporting.'" I like the idea of more visibility around town.
With a little bit of effort I'm sure that the club could arrange a competition leading up to one of the big games coming up. Invite all the shops in town to dress their windows in a Warrington Wolves theme, and for everyone that does it give a couple of tickets free, and for the best one, provide a few hospitality places or something.
This IMO would get a bit of a buzz within the town centre shops, would get them promotion maybe in places like the Guardian, the Programme and the website, and get the club quite a bit of publicity.
I've often thought it is something they should do in the build up to the season, but it could be done leading up to any set game.

that's how cronulla advertised their home games 6 or 7 years ago, always thought it looked really good when i drove past on my way to work

| I've always loved this piece from The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling and thought it would be good used by the club in some way, especially the last line.
"Now is the Law of the Jungle, as old and as true as the sky,
And the Wolf that may keep it shall propsper bu the Wolf that shall break it must die.
From the creeper that girdles the tree trunk, the Law runneth forward and back.
For the strength of the pack is the Wolf and the strength of the Wolf is the pack."
That last line is definately better than 'Lupus et mor Lupus' or whatever that stupid phrase is.

I've no idea. If we did then the club are already aware of it and should make more bloody use of it!

You know Rudyard Kipling did it before Disney right? Besides, that piece is nowhere near in the Disney version

| a while back i emailed an idea to Dave Hutchinson and got a positive response.
make up a blank template of a shirt onto a piece of paper, front and back
and let all the pupils of every single primary school, high school and college, design next seasons home and away shirt, possibly even open it up to the masses local businesses and general supporters.
There would be a winner in multiple age categories with all the finalists voted on for the actual winner.
Obviously with Warringtons colours being blue and primrose restrictions on colour would have to be placed on the home strip.
He said they'd signed off for 2010 but would seriously consider the idea for 2011

| Personally I would like to see ex crowd favourites paraded during half time.
Only legends though such as;
Jonathon Davies
Dessie Drummond
Les Boyd
Kevin Ellis
etc etc etc
I remember a couple of years back they did it with Boyd and it made my day. Its better than those rubbish dancers.

| What about adverts for the next home games on local radio? Don't know how much it'd cost but it's just a thought.
I'd get me a car sticker with "In Smith we trust" on it, that's the last thing I say whenever I talk RL with mates at work!

EVERY season ticket holder gets free entry and ought to be well aware that they do so. The fact so many don't go isn't down to lack of marketing, it's just they are too busy doing other things or simply can't justify attending more than one match per weekend.

| I remember that a few times about two years ago the Lucky 7 agents gave tickets away to certain match's like Harlequins and Huddersfield when they collected the subs, so far this year and last year from what i can remember there have been none.
I was given two tickets to the Huddersfield match two years ago, due to me having season tickets i gave them to a bloke at work who took his son, they both enjoyed the game and after persuading him to do so he bought 2 adult and 2 kids season tickets for last year (East Stand), not happy with the view he managed to get 2 adults and 2 kids season tickets for this year in the North Stand which is obviously more money spent.
All this because of a couple of free tickets, why have the club stopped doing this does anybody know

There is no harm in giving away around 500 tickets to see the Quins, Hudders and Wakefield match's, there obviously not going to fill the stadium and the promotional tickets were for the West Stand anyway plus your bound to make money on the food/drink side of things.

Could it not possibly alienate the regular fans who have paid good money to watch the same stuff?

It would only be 3 games per year and if the regular fans care about the club they would want what was best i.e, advertising (Public), advertising (word of mouth), money being spent of food and drink, programme sales.
Also i think that if you work out how much it is on the door to a price of a season ticket, i think it works out that the Season ticket holder get's 3 games for free, although im not sure.
