Just looked at the last few years results, and the biggest losing streak I saw with Cullen in charge (excluding Challenge Cup as the stats are not included) is 4 games.

There were some embarassing defeats under him, but the last 7 games or so have been as bad as anything I have seen for years and years, with no glimmer of hope.

Just think some of the Lowes bashing is a little harsh.

But there was plenty of bashing for a coach who never saw us lose more than 4 on the bounce.

The way we are playing now is truly dire, and that is why he is getting stick. I don't buy the fact that players dont always try, and it's as simple as that. The team look very poorly managed.

He was said to have experience and according to experts, commentators and pundits was the next best thing.

Lowes has no experience and isn't even being give a chance, the last few games of last season we were decimated by injuries for god sake, was that the fault of Lowes.

Have you seen anything from this team that gives you confidence it will come good? I haven't, that is why people are angry.

We haven't lost 7 games on the bounce for years. That is form worthy of a coach being sacked whichever club you are,and whichever coach you are.

Lowes might not have been the most experienced, gifted, eloquent, intelligent, diplomatic, tallest of some of the names on the shortlist doug did on his lunch break, but the important thing is he knew the players already from when he used to speak to them while they gave him lifts, and [uthat's[/u whats important.

To bring a NRL/SL winning coach in during the season is not guaranteed to happen. It will take the season to settle in.

I say stick with lowes, his interviews are intersting.

The team plays in the image of their coach. It is always so.

And if Lowes is so inexperienced why the hell are Warrington acting as a guinea pig?

Me too nothing has changed & nothing will until we get someone who has experience to win us a cup or even get us there would be a start!

Has to be Hanley. He is soooo strict, the club wont know whats hit them and thats exactly what we need now. A born winner and somebody who will instill team values on the squad whilst improving individuals and for those who dont want to play there part, shows them the door.

Could be a match winner for this year if Tony Smith or somebody else is a done deal for 2010. C'mon Mr Moran, you know it makes sense. Lose against Wakefield on friday and Lowes will have lost the last 10!!

Not if we play with conviction, passion, pride etc and have some degree of success.....

He can't handle big clubs with big name players according to Hull fans (thanks for the CCup you got us NOT). So he is of no use to you as he might actually sign a load of local British kids and make a team out of em.

Seriously, a great coach but not for Warrington - he needs a free hand and I don't think he would get that at Warrington.

Tony Smith is probably your best bet.

That is what I have always thought; functions best as an 'underdog' coach and wouldn't deal with all the egos in the Warrington dressing room.

He was coaching Trinity under 19's last year, he is such a rookie he makes Lowes look like Wayne Bennett, get a grip

I think you will find that was a joke referring to the appointment of Lowes last year.

The problem with Cullen, Lowes Hanley is they aren't proven coaches with a track record behind them. We've had years of that & our club should be setting the standard in coaching, not being a training ground for NL1 people looking to learn their SL trade with us.

When Smiths name came up (I'll dig this out) I said there's 2 problems with him. 1) He couldn;t get the Leeds & Saints lads to sit on the same bench in the World Cup. Would he be someone who could win the whole dressing room.

2) his style is for mobile, ball playing forwards, hit the collision, get the ball played straight away. Whereas our team is spending 18 months going in the opposite direction & becoming battering rams. It'll take 2 seasons to get the personnel right & to adapt to the style.

We need a rated coach with decent experience who has a background in specialist defence.

The only one who fits that bill is Trevor Gilmeister.
